hurricaneoasis 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2007 Where can you get these things? I'm about to get a RBK helmet and I've heard their pretty wide, so I want some of those plastic spacers so I can mount a small straight cut itech visor on it w/out it stretching out... pisani34 10 Report post Posted February 26, 2007 after reading a few forums here, it seems your local hardware store, home depot, lowes etc, should have the nylon spacers u need...and remember, get longer screws as well, maybe even bring the helmet with you
hurricaneoasis 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2007 That's what I figured, just didn't know if there were some sort of hockey specific ones.
Chadd 916 Report post Posted February 26, 2007 That's what I figured, just didn't know if there were some sort of hockey specific ones.Nope, I got some for a buddy of mine at Lowes that matched the spacers that ship with Itech HS22 visors. They worked perfectly with his Oakley visor/1052 helmet combo. I also use the Itech spacers on my Straight Small/8k combo.
Yakus 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2007 The Hockey Shop in Surrey, BC has them for like $5.99 cdn (spacers + screws). They're the same spacers you see NHL'ers use. They're Oakleys.
bainsstatic 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2007 Related question I don't want to make another thread for:I've got an oakley visor and a bauer hh4000 helmet. I've lost the screws for the visor, what size are they/can I get them at HomeDepot, Lowes, etc.?
Yakus 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2007 If you want to save time, just go to your LHS for the screws...
joshy207 15 Report post Posted May 8, 2007 If the helmet is wide, you shouldn't need the spacers. The visor will fit on its own. Spacers will help a wide visor fit onto a narrow helmet without "pinching" it and distorting your vision...
BuffaloKing 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2007 I saw today that Oakley now ships spacers with their visors. I'm glad they decided to do that after i bought my visors. Guess thats the way the cookie crumbles. I actually used rubber spacer things and it kind of works. I'll get to taking a pic soon.

jbyun04 7 Report post Posted July 5, 2007 i don't know if anyone noticed but if the oakley visor prices went up $5 or so because they added "better hardware" so you might find some spacers and screws in there if you haven't already

Dougie8 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2007 Hey guys...sorta jackin the thread.I just bought an Oakley Straight visor and it isnt fitting on my 8k...Kinda being a pain in the ass. Sounds like longer screws plus spacers will do the trick for my problem? But it almost seems that the shape of the helmet, where the sizing clip that you lift up and all the way around is in the way of the visor itself so the holes in the visor wont line up to the holes in the helmet. Once I get one side lined up the other side is WAY off.
