They are fake, but not that bad looking. Reminds me of the Hartford Whalers old jerseys.

Fake you said?... thank god. the dark one is sooooo ugly!!

I heard the Rangers one will no longer have the the RANGERS going down the chest, it's going to be the shield logo now. The white canucks one looks good, even if it's a fake.

Not true - actually one of the main things they were going for was the room to have the diagonal letters.

Awesome, I'll take your word for it. My buddy said he saw it in the new RBK apparel catalog. He's a numbskull 1/2 of the time, prob didn't know what he was looking at

he probably saw the RBK practice jersey in the catalog.

I'm glad to know that they'll be retaining the classic diagonal letters. then again, I certainly wouldn't be against the rags going to something like the '76 jersey.

Its obviously a render, but maybe they will go old school with the jerseys. They have used the home version of that jersey in recent years.

I like the idea of using the Johnny Canuck logo, but that jersey with him is awful. I know third jerseys are forbidden next year, but I'd like to see one anyway - go with a green jersey (same look/stripes) with Johnny on the front instead of the stick in the rink.

That clearly looks like a C? It is obviously a hockey stick, it barley looks like a C. I can kind of C what your getting it... I guess

that's why it's a good logo!

The implied "C", colors that mean something.

Not just some some cartoon that marketing likes.

I think the Whalers logo is one of the best, nice design, the "H" incorporated in there.

I know it's a 'C.' I've understood 'stick in the rink' to be the accepted unofficial name for it - my source on that is Pratt and Taylor on Vancouver radio, because they always call it that.

Also, the Johnny Canuck logo isn't just 'a cartoon marketing liked' - Johnny Canuck was a political cartoon character, and in that form is actually an older Canucks logo than the C/stick-in-the-rink - he was the logo for the pre-NHL Vancouver Canucks in the 1940's.

I saw an interview with the original designer who said you should be able to know what business the company is in by looking at the logo; therefore, it's a stick in a rink.

I've said it several times before...it drives me nuts when teams constantly change their logos. They need to stick with one to let it become tradition.

The Team interviewed Jeff Zimmerman (the Canucks new President) and he said that the new jerseys would feature the retro colour scheme, but that the Orca/C would still play a role. They figure the have some brand equity built up in the Orca, and they don't want to discard it completely.

don't you mean Chris Zimmerman? I don't think Jeff was the former NikeBauer guy

i personaly think they both look a lot better than the current garbage the canucks are wearing. Are all teams changing the style of their jerseys like that?
