Quick question on stick/blade time

How long do you guys wait before you start using a shaft/blade after you put the blade in?

as soon as the glue is dry you're good to go.

Serious? I've been waiting until the shaft end cools down to avoid deforming the shaft or screwing up the blade/shaft connection, but the hockey store owner told my friend to wait a day before he uses it, to let it settle. Now I have no clue.

when I used 2-piece sticks, I just waited until the glue dried.

You can use it as soon as the glue dries but waiting for the shaft to cool to room temp doesn't hurt.

I'll try to do any blade changes the night before so it can get settled in, have a good night's rest, and get ready to score some goals the next day.

The glue drys and the whole thing cools in a few minutes. That's all that's needed.

When im done i either put some snow on my stick or cold water to make it cool down faster, and if im in a hurry i just use my spare for a few minutes until i feel that its not warm anymore.

I try to prepare my sticks a day before use. I figure that things take time to settle... I'm sure it doesn't matter but it's kind of a habit now.
