Rbk 9k or NikeBauer Pro 4-roll

Recommended Posts

I think they are both excellent gloves. I like the 9K in nylon knit rather than the synthetic "leather" model. The big difference will be in your wallet.

You definatly have to go with what feels better because these are two completly different typs of glove fits. The NBH is more of a traditional fit and the RBK is a snugger fit. I have a guy that just received his 9K's and loves them but I tried them on, and versus my pro tacks, they were too snug.

^^ exactly. The NBH gloves will be quite a bit looser than the RBKs. That's like comparing the Vapor XXXs to the one90s.

to clarify, the XXX are loose and the one90s tighter?????

Yeah, I have a Bauer XXX and CCM gloves, and the Bauers are much more looser. I like that better because I get a full range with my wrist movements. But CCM is a bit more heavy and snug.

Yes. It wasn't the best example because the XXXs are what I'd call medium-tight with a huge flair in the cuff. The supreme series glove fits tight, almost like a batting glove or golf glove. The NBH 4-roll gloves will be looser than the Vapor XXXs but have a smaller wrist flair. They will fit similar to eagles or CCM tacks. The RBKs will fit more like the vectors or Vapor XX. Not quite as tight as the supreme series gloves.

I hope that I didn't confuse you too much with all that. :P

As previously stated the Nike/Bauers are a looser fit but ohhh, so comfy. I have a hard time making a decision between the two as well. Either glove is a great bet , both great manufacturers and decent quality. I'd go with the one that feels the best.

am I correct in assuming that the "pros" will once again have the double palm? And are they offering a single palm (SR) version?

Eagles are going to fit comparable to the NBH 4-roll.

Older Eastons are going to also fit similar if not a little bit tighter(I'd call it medium-loose) and have shorter fingers. The 07 Eastons are going to fit the same as older ones but (according to Chadd) the finger length will not be as short.

I tried on a few gloves tonight and I have to ammend my previous post.

The new Eastons do have longer fingers but they also seem a bit tighter than previously. Very nice.

And I also checked out the new TPS gloves, extremely nice. I'd add it to your list of gloves to check out, they are about the same fit as eastons but with a little bit longer fingers.

Also very impressed with the nylon warrior mac daddys, very nice feeling glove. Part of the palm is breathable which is nice. I'd call them medium-tight with a tighter cuff than most.

I used my 9k Nylons for the first time tonight.

I was pretty impressed with them. They broke in pretty quickly and were just the right fit for me. The palm seems to be pretty nice, and the "damper zone" wasn't as hard to get used to as I thought it would be. They felt pretty thick on my top hand, but that is most likely because the gloves I was using before had a massive hole in the palm...I'm glad I got them.

I can't really help you out with the NBH pro ones because I haven't tried them on. The SDP's seemed decent though, but were just a bit too bulky feeling for my taste.

I believe the senior SDP and the SDP pro are the exact same gloves but the pro has a double-palm. Even the same palm material.
