Is the XXXlite blade noticeably different in construction from normal Bauer RB's like the X, XV and Endure?

Was thinking about buying the XXXlite rb, what's the main culprit for the XXXlite OPS shitty durability.... blade or shaft?

ive seen alot snap at the fuse point. ive also seen alot of converted shafts too around me.

Have you seen many of the oen90 ops/shaft snap at the fuse point too? I am thinking of the one90 shaft.

Had a XXX lite shaft with an XXX lite blade and it felt extremely blade heavy.

Did you do anything to change the balance at all? (ie, cut the shaft down quite a bit, put an excessive amount of tape or a tacki-mac attack pad on the blade, etc...)

Yea.. it seems a little odd to me too. The shaft/blade combo are just supposed to be the materials used on the ops. Mine has an AMAZING balance.

Nothing. It felt really awkward, so I returned it (didnt use it) and bought another SE.

seems to me, cutting off should improve balance, as the shaft is shorter to prevent the heavier blade from having leverage.

id have to say this is the best tapered shaft on the market, assuming you like grip. if you dont this is not the shaft for you. gets good kick on shots and has excellent feel for the puck. i use a warrior blade in mine and i like it every bit as much as the OPS and i have had no durability problems. hope this helps
