Shawn in Tampa 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 I know how to use the search, but BAG was too short.I currently have a Vector, but its just too small. Anyone know the roomiest/nicest player bag made? Thanks!Shawn
Remman 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 How roomy do you need it? Any hockey bag sold at an LHS is big enough for equipment. I fit my equipment into a $30 Koho bag...
Chadd 916 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 For a while CCM was the only one to do a 40" bag, they were 40x18x18.
godiogo 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 I have an Easton S9 wheel bag. It's pretty big (40x18x18), and it has a stand so that you can rest it at an angle (similar to a golf bag) when reaching for your equipment. On the downside, it's expensive.
Viking 1 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 I don't know why you'd have so much stuff that any regular ol' bag wouldn't be big enough, but regardless of why you have so much stuff, why not just get a goalie bag? That 40x18x18 CCM is practically goalie-sized anyway.
Ankles 3 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 The Easton Monster wheel bag is pretty much the biggest bag there is short of going to a goalie bag.
hunterphfr 12 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 I hated stuffing my gear into a bag that was just too small. Got an old goalies bag off a buddy, man there is enough room for me and my gear in that thing. It can however be a little awkward to carry at times, i'm 6' and it bangs off my calves if I carry it incorrectly.
AIK1891 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 The NBH canvas bags come in 40x18x18 size. I have the Jr. in 36x15x15 I've been happy with for local pick-up without full gear (details: http://www.modsquadhockey.com/forums/index...9909&st=30). I'm planning to get the 40" one for full gear games & travel. Not only large, but multiple internal pockets for organizing. Also, adjustable shoulder straps conform for tall or short people
Biaggi 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 I have the new BNH supreme 70 bag, and hate it because it is so big. It has two huge end pockets, and a giant main compartment. I have to keep extra stuff in there just so it holds its shape.

Allsmokenopancake 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 I have a CCM 1052 bag, which simply put, is massive.I wear a size 10 skate, and use the skate pockets. It also has a third smaller pocket between the 2 skate pockets that I use for holding tape, helmet repair kit, penknife etc.Two massive end pockets, one I use for my jerseys, undergear (dri-fit top, itech jock shorts), and socks, the other for my water bottles and contact lens/glasses cases. That leaves the main compartment for shoulders, gloves, elbows, shins pants and a helmet.Which easily fits. It also has an inner pocket on the inside for valuables.I've had it for about over a year, and it's still holding up great. I love it, has all the room in the world. Also, all my gear is XL or XXL, I am 6'3'', 240ish to give you an idea of gear size. The monkey has the CCM 1152 bags for $39.99. The look like mine only an SMU for the monkeyhttp://www.hockeymonkey.com/ccm1152ebsr.html

althoma1 575 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 The ShockDoctor PowerDry Bag is huge. It's so big I keep it at home and simply use it to dry my equipment. I did use it for one tournament and I'd take it to future tournaments to dry the stuff out, but I don'think I'd use it as a day to day bag because the dress rooms in the rink I regularily play at are small enough already. swede 52 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 i have this huge, black/red, old Jofa bag.. It's not a Goalie bag, but it has the size of one.. It has that old school, baggy cut, and not that boxy look that all new bags has. It has no side pockets, skate pockets or anything.. It's just like a big hole that swallows everything. I really like it.. If i arrange all the stuff in the bag, i can fit 3 whole sets of equipment in it.. It looks allmost empty with just one set in it.

I got the Shock Doctor Senior bag as a freebie for placing a particularly large order with a vendor and while I think the quality is phenominal, its way too big for me. I drive a Mazda 3 and have to lay it out over my back seats... Its just too long and cumbersome. In the locker room its always the biggest frigging bag. You could fit a fully equipped Pee-Wee in there. Its just too nice to get rid of though. Maybe I'll use it for luggage and get something more reasonable. MNWildGopherFan 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 The Nike Bauer Sr. Supreme 70 Carry Bag is huge with a nice layout. It has a sizeable main compartment, large pockets on either end, and a skate pouch on the outside. Not exactly sure how its dimensions compare with some of the others mentioned, but I can't fathom this bag not being big enough for anyone, even if you like to pack extra stuff for traveling to tourneys. And for what it worth, I totally agree with Biaggi, it is actually bigger than I need and is kind of a hassle to carry around and store because of it. I would much prefer one a bit smaller. I got mine as a gift, and couldn't believe how large it was when I opened it. I am sure the Junior model would serve me better and be plenty large, and I would definitely recommend you check them out in person so you know what you are getting. But assuming you are truly looking for a really large bag, the Supreme 70 is worth a look. Good luck.

Yes, I'm not getting rid of mine either as it does dry the equipment nicely and it is a very high quality bag. Shock Doctor does have the smaller ref version and I believe they've also come out with some mid-sized bags since the launch of the original. The original is huge, but other than that it's a great bag. Since the original poster is looking for a huge bag this might work nicely for him.
