JR Boucicaut

Easton Stealth S15 Initial Thoughts

Pitch looks good on S15. Might just be the picture, but does the Pitch holder give that skate more of a forward lean than the Easton holders?

Hi JR, did your feet pretty much fit the boot before baking? Would the S15 mold to fit someone with narrower feet?

WHenever you bake, you're essentially expanding the skate. I normally take an EE but these felt fine out of the box.

I think that it's the design of the RBIIs (almost straight in the heel, rounded toe) that gives it that look. PITCH3 has more of an angle in the heel.

That makes me wonder how many people will actually be able to wear them. They already had issues fitting most people and now they're wider.

i'm loving the ass kissing, in hope it will make pics and required materials for the 'pimping process' arrive sooner. hilarity.

I'm curious about the spacing of the eyelets on the skate... that top one seems WAY away from the 2nd. maybe its just the angle? Also, you mentioned its a higher cut than you normally like, what's it comparable to?

Now that's what I'm talking about. Nicely done J.R. That's one great looking pair of Easton skates. If Easton could put holders and blades on all their models like that I bet they'd sell a lot more skates.

SyNergy was pretty much just as wide...what has changed was that the S15 is not available in a N, which would probably cover your D-width guys.

Yes, there is a bigger gap between the last eyelets on both skates. I wouldn't dare lace up that top eyelet.

Was there any drilling required?

Yep. Back holes were perfect - the fronts needed to be drilled/widened. Most of them needed widening, but I did drill some new holes in there.

i was looking into getting these skates and converting them for roller hockey do you foresee any problems doing that? also i've held them in person but thought the boot was kinda of soft when squeezing them from the sides is that true with yours as well? if so how are they for stiffness and do you think they will last me a long time? last question... if i wear a size 8.5 nike shoe size would i fit into a size 7 s15 skate size?

Do you know when these will be in sotres in Canada? I went to the hockey shop and they said the production was delayed.

I have seen them at Just Hockey and Majer Hockey in Toronto.

You guys are thinking too small. His new ones won't even have any holders. They'll be hover-skates.

In collaboration with Doc Brown, Marty McFly and Einstein?

I got my easton's yesterday and only got 7 pairs, rest on back order, already. Still, I weighed a pair today alongside a same size pair of XXXX, the S15's were 5 oz lighter per skate. That's incredible.

Like having light track shoes on blades. The newer upper level skates are amazingly light. I'm very impressed with the Stealth S-15 and Nike/Bauer One/90. Not so impressed with the price tags though.

Skated in them today - the right skate still needs to be tweaked. It feels as if my foot is all the way in the front of the boot. I am hoping it is either that my heel is not locking in or the skate needs to be expanded a bit.

PITCH is money though - did not feel that wobbling/buckling I was feeling with the RBII.

I'm thinking of going with that to help with my pronation, if they fit of course...

how do you compare these to the 1500 in terms of fit?

Higher volume (didn't skate in 1500, only original SyNergy)

Higher cut as well. But I am not feeling the top of foot/ankle pain I got from those SyNergys.
