habsfan87 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2008 Kill two birds with the Vector and Revo shaft since they were the same. I'm taking Z-Cores out of storage for the weekend.you still have a z-core?...lucky, you should post some pics if you bring em out, I'd bring them back in a lower flex if possible, or the old brown u/l's in lower flex as well. AnthonyJTa 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2008 I tried the bauer "convex" shaft when Pavel Bure was endorsing it during his time in Vancouver. I thought that was a great shaft at the time. Anyone have opinions on this one?Was it aluminum or composite... I had an early Vapor (God knows what model) composite shaft which was nice. They were concave/convex based on left or right handness. I also had a Nice Bauer Supreme aluminum that I swore would live through nuclear war. My good friend still has one of those Easton convex alum shafts... with the purple/teal graphics. I keep trying to get him to sell it to me.There was an old Titan that I loved around late-90's... I forget the exact model, but I fancied them in the Forsberg, and C Lemieux patterns. They had this strange shaft shape that I loved.. all I remember is they were solid black with blue graphics... it wasn't the ASD 6000, although I did have plenty of those too. I also have to +1 on the Koho Vector shaft
jpeaslee 30 Report post Posted February 23, 2008 I haven't had the pleasure of using a ton of different high end shafts, but the L-2 has been my favorite so far. And i just broke my last l-2 blade :(

usahockey22 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2008 +1 for the original green Easton T-Flex 85. With the first generation of gold Synergy's very close behind.Nice choice...I've still got 2 of the old green t-flex sticks that are going strong, no need to upgrade to anything better as far as I see it. Incredibly durable sticks, very light, good feel.

They were nice sticks tho, I had a cheap sport chek one a few years cack with a woody sakic and loved it.

Vermette20 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2008 I do miss the days of being able to stop in the local mall or Dicks sporting goods, and to see a huge selection of wood sticks. Titan, canadian, hespeller, koho and sherwood seemed to be the more common sticks. This was about the time the aluminum shaft eastons were being introduced. This was before we had a UHL now ECHL team, so there was no type of hockey shops nearby. I remember you could go into Champs and buy all kinds of street hockey equipment, which is mainly what my friends and I played. Anyhow worst stick I ever used was an Ultra Wheels Brett Hull aluminum shaft street hockey stick. What a piece of crap, but it would be fun to see some aluminum eastons again.CaseyGettin old

Spreedizzle 1 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 R2 XN10...hands downI'd also bring back to Redlite XN10 shaft so I wouldn't have to buy them every time that I see one on the black market. It is like an OCD for me to buy one whenever I see it. ;)

Monty22 835 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 I'll add another vote for the Canadian woodies- the 6001 Verbeeks were great.I'd also like to see the Easton Synergy Gold (grip) from like 4 or so years ago. I still have one , and it dosen't seem to want to die.

Anything special about them?Damn near indestructible. The only thing that will generally happen to them/some is that they get bowed out. Other than that, they're just awesome. Insanely "heavy" for most of the princesses that care about weight though.Kill two birds with the Vector and Revo shaft since they were the same. Bad thing about them was their limited flex options like you mention.
