Under Armour Visor

Recommended Posts

Yep, I've been using one at pickups for like 4-5 months. Odd-shaped cut, but the clarity is unreal and it doesn't fog up like some other brands tend to. Wicked expensive, though, I paid $79 for it

How's the scratch resistance so far?

I saw a dude rocking one at pickup and I asked him about it. He says it fogs up just like any visor would when you're resting on the bench and steam rises. He had to wipe it down a lot. Looked like a cool visor, though. He paid over $90 for it retail, I didn't tell him you can eBay them for about$50 plus shipping.

They have them at my local Sports Authority... If I recall correctly, they were $69.99. I pulled one out of the box just to get a peek.... like everyone else said, think 'Oakley' but with some different cuts around the corners. I don't know how to explain it, but the way the lights came off of it in the store, it was 'gleaming' so to speak? I tried to hold it at a few angles to see if there were any sort of coating, etc.. nothing the eye could see.

I saw this too at my local sports authority for the above said price. Looks like a pro straight, but more rectangularish if that makes sense. Its also packaged like oakleys

Pretty good, I'm not playing contact or taking anything up high, so there's not much to go by. It hasn't been scratched in the bag so I'd say its a plus.

Like someone else said, from the picture on the website that visor looks like it sits a ridiculously far amount away from the helmet.

It seems like it wouldn't fog up as much as other visors simply because of how far away it looks like it is from your face

I believe Under Armour is one of the "Official" Underwear providers to the NHL... so I am assuming they have ponyed up the cash to have their logo seen in the NHL...

I am surprised they have not convinced any of the guys that endorse their product to rock the visor

I think RBK has the contract that extends into performance apparel. I think the Leafs have something special going on, considering the have a huge under armor logo next to their logo in their back room where Mats was being interviewed yesterday.

It's akin to the UA logo @ Wrigley Field, they are looking for classic teams and places (I know ACC is new) to drive brand awareness and gain market share..
