Rivet Sizes

Recommended Posts

I need to order some rivets for my workshop. I will be working exclusively on newer high-end skates and I'm not sure what size rivets I should get. I know that the ones I have now are way to long for the thin outsoles that seem to be the trend on skates now. What sizes should I be getting? 1/2"?

Thanks

Yes, order 8, 9 and 10s. Soles are so thin nowadays that you can use a 10" in the rear tower.

If you have any SyNergy/Stealth skaters, you'll need 6 or 7s.

Easton also sells there rivets for the synergy skates because the general 6,7 rivets I find are too small on the top so the ones from Easton are regular size ontop meaning the part you push down on so it doesnt look like a youth sized rivet

Hate to drag up an old thread but after searching I couldn't find what I was looking for.

I was just wondering what all the rivet sizes correspond to in any form of measurement.

Hey guys, I did a search before asking and this thread is very helpful. I'm looking to buy rivets for my home shop and all of them listed on blackstone's site go by imperial sizes. i.e.. 1/2". They don't list them in numeric sizes as you've shown. Is there a conversion list somewhere?

The number corresponds to a 1/16".

example: 7=7/16", 8= 1/2", etc...

If you have a home shop, just get a box of all sizes, you will need them eventually.

I would have to spend about $200 for rivets I don't need. Blackstone doesn't sell them in a set only in each individual size.

Thanks, exactly what I was looking for.

$200?? More like $10. Where are you getting them and what kind of business will you be operating from home that you won't need common sizes?

None, I'm buying it for personal use. It's my choice to own one. I don't want to have 15 different sizes of rivets when I should only need 5-8. Go to Blackstonesports website and do the math. I'm looking for help not an attitude.

No attitude, you said you had a home shop. If you are just doing your skates a few sizes to fit just your skates will be plenty. If you plan on doing others, you'll need them all. I get mine for $2.50 per 250. Do the math.

I would love to know where to order them for that price. That information might be helpful...........
