Attendees will be able to complete one entry form each and the winners will be contacted the week of June 19th.

They are doing private sessions for Season Ticket Holders that starts at 9:00am. From what i have been told...there is a 9:, 10:, 11:, 12: sessions that are 45 minutes long for the season ticket holders who signed up.

Also...been told that someone who is signed up in one of these sessions can bring up to 3 guests. The Caps said there are 150 people per session, but I don't know if that means before or after the guests head count.

this was also included in the e-mail to STH...

"Alex Ovechkin items will be on display at the equipment sale. You must be present at the sale to enter-to-win the chance to purchase one Alex Ovechkin item. There are limited Ovechkin items available, and the sale of this merchandise will be handled differently. Ovechkin merchandise will be displayed on a table and each item for sale will have a corresponding box next to it. Fans wishing to purchase some of No. 8's game-worn and game-used equipment will fill out a form and then place that form in the box next to the item they would like to buy. The Capitals staff will then randomly choose a name from each box, and the individuals selected will have the opportunity to buy that piece of merchandise. Like every piece of equipment at the sale, these prices are predetermined. The winners of the Ovechkin drawing will be notified the week of June 18."

So basically, if you are going to the public sale, from 1.30 to 4, then you are either picking over what about 850 others have already had a chance to look at, or they are keeping some stuff aside for the public sale.

I am almost leaning to not going at all now. I was offered a pass for the 10am slot, but can't make it, at least at that time it would have been worth it

Any info on whether this is any part a Flyers 'lockerroom / prostock" gear sale, or just Flyers branded merchandise from the regular shop inventory? Nice shop there, with plenty of big name brands, but I've never seen much that could be considered pro surplus there (actually I find there's a lot of Flyers pro surplus at another area rink)

Most Flyers stuff goes out the back door. There was a guy selling the new sticks on eBay for quite a while, not sure if they've clamped down on that or not.

On their website talking about the Tent Sale it says there will be equipment there, how much, who knows, plus I've never been to one so i don't know what to expect. Like you said I've never seen a lot of pro-stock in that shop but I'm hoping they'll have a decent selection since I'll be making the trek to Voorhees early saturday morning. Their website says " Stock up on all your 07/08 equipment needs". Not that it means much but sounds somewhat promising.

You'll probably be disappointed if you're looking for pro-stock stuff.

What rink? I PM'd you about that. I'd like to take a look at the Affie sticks.

As for the other pro stock stuff, Chadd is right again. And that guy Byron usually ends up with a lot of it in his store from 'someone'.

Aside from that, the Flyers are nuts with what they charge for pro stock sticks. Ben Eager's XXXLite for $210? That's just a straight up laugher.

Put me on the list for any affy sticks. Dammit, why'd the Lightning have to let him go... then fire my best connection to get any leftovers the team might have had left over. <_<

Just to let you know I've gotten a few pms about Affy pro stocks at a rink near Wilimington, Delaware. I guess they were $150, but I'm not willing to spend that much shipped, let alone having to pay shipping on top of that for a pro stock stick... Let alone a warrior pro stock. My max would be $140 shipped, I'm still exploring options as I have two more connections. Hopefully I can get my hands on whatever the bolts might have left.

Plenty of brands?

It's better described as a sufficient amount of brands, with run of the mill stocking/inventory policies that remind me more of a shop that's not interested in actually selling equipment... passive ordering/pre-booking model... normally not worth the trip for equipment unless you want Flyers/Phantoms logo-ed merchandise.

Ex.#1 @ Skate Zone (Voorhees, NJ) All skates in stock are D width - it seems most of the pro shops within 40 miles do a better job of carrying some Wide/E/EE/ or narrow, etc.

Ex.#2 The only warrior product that's been on the floor since March has been the MacDaddy OPS. Zero Warrior blades, Zero warrior shafts, zero warrior gloves, zero warrior bags. (OK - some of you out there aren't pro warrior - but they might as well not carry warrior if they do the worst job out of the stores around them that also carry warrior).

Although they may not have much open to buy $ in whatever their inventory target is... they certainly have the money backing the Skate Zone to do a much better job.

Yes, as the pro-Sweden (AIK1891) claimed - Skate Zone is pretty anti having Flyers pro-stock stuff at their store. That's available pretty reasonably at a couple other shops in the area - normally OPS sticks - but sometimes pants, helmets, skates, and other protective gear. (also Ebay as others have mentioned... and for even higher prices than the guy on Ebay - a sports collectibles store in the Atlantic City Area).

So, I had a league game at ballston tonight, and was talking to the guys in the pro-shop, who got to buy some gear .

All gloves will be $30, sticks I am not 100%, but think its between $30 and $50.

Used skates are $50 (he bought Lawerence Nycholats Reebok 9K pumps)

And unused new skates are $250.

Just thought I would share.

nice RBK 4-roll glove, I assume that they're just Tacks with RBK slapped on.

Someone should pick me up a large dark 8K helmet :D

I'm drooling at all that stuff they got available.....and smack in the middle of the skate pics, a pristine pair of Vapor 10s.

Most of the good stuff was gone when the general public got a taste, still some decent bargains were to be had

Most stuff was in really good or new condition. Lots of 14" RBK gloves, CCM and RBK pants, and a TON of RBK sickkicks. There were also a good amount of Warrior sticks, 50/50 between Dolos and Kroniks. Surprisingly, there was quite a lot of jerseys left. Although they were "no names". There were a ton of sticks left too. Overall I was pretty happy with my haul.
