thefelixculpa 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2007 I am stuck on deciding which of these I want to buy!!I currently am usuing a Sakic ST on a z-bubble but I am about to purchase a One90 and cannot decide which blade would be better choice.I like the Sakic, but it does wear at the heel...So what should it be... P88 or P106???
Patrick67 1 Report post Posted July 7, 2007 P88, it is alot more similar to the Sakic than the P106. (I've used all 3)Has more curve and is more of a mid curve.

Jason16 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2007 It doesn't matter what the curve or blade length is like, if his Sakic is wearing at the heel then the only option out of the 2 is the P106 seeing as it's a 5 lie as opposed to a 5.5 or 6.
TBLfan 25 Report post Posted July 8, 2007 or a shorter stick.
TBLfan 25 Report post Posted July 8, 2007 the lie is too high.
Cavs019 710 Report post Posted July 8, 2007 P106 has a lower lie than the Sakic, so by that standard the P88 should immediately be out of the running.
DANGLESHOW 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2007 like someone mentioned above, P92 is a sakic clone
thefelixculpa 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2007 are there any sites that sell one90 blades other than inlinewarehouse? my LHS does not carry them.IWH doesn't carry anything but the 88 and 106 i believe
Jarick 5 Report post Posted July 8, 2007 P88 - less loft and shorter blade than the Sakic, otherwise similarP106 - mid heel curve with less loft and longer blade, lower lieOr you could go with some custom blades.
sabre09923 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2007 Go with a P92, and cut the stick a little bit shorter than your current Z-bubble. P92 is NBH's Sakic clone, and the shortened stick will make it wear evenly on the blade.
Chadd 916 Report post Posted July 8, 2007 Go with a P92, and cut the stick a little bit shorter than your current Z-bubble. P92 is NBH's Sakic clone, and the shortened stick will make it wear evenly on the blade. That doesn't work for me. I have a comfort zone with how I handle the puck and where my hands are and shortening the stick more than half an inch drives me nuts. Rather than force yourself to adapt to a curve, find a curve that fits you. There are a lot of options out there, usually you can find one that works for you.As to the original question, I would go with the P106.
Patrick67 1 Report post Posted July 8, 2007 On the subject of finding a lie that fits you.... Is the Sherwood Coffey curve the same lie as a Bauer P92 or lower?
Doctor Hook 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2007 I will only use a P88. Great for a D man who likes to clear the puck high off the glass when necessary.

1manband 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2007 I have a 106, absolutely love it, improved my stick handling instantly!!, realy nice blade to work with, I have it on a 1 piece xxx pro lite, and yes its mostly due to the flex on the stick but I get a great slapshot off it, nice height, lot of power

wishman 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2007 P88 - less loft and shorter blade than the Sakic, otherwise similarP106 - mid heel curve with less loft and longer blade, lower lieOr you could go with some custom blades. Many people have mentioned that the P106 has a lie of 5. And everything on-line shows the same. But I was at a local store today and they had One90 OPS and the P106s all had a lie of 6.
Jarick 5 Report post Posted September 5, 2007 Well I just put my P106 against a bunch of other sticks, it looks between a 5 and 5.5, maybe closer to the 5.5 lie. But it's a wood blade so maybe it's off...fun curve though. If it were an inch shorter I think it'd be a lot more popular, like a shallower Lidstrom with a lower lie and round toe. kovalchuk71 212 Report post Posted September 6, 2007 Is the P106 longer than the pm9?
TBLfan 25 Report post Posted September 6, 2007 I believe so. About a 1/2" if I recall correctly.

NWoodhockey17 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2007 i've had good luck cutting the P88 about 1/2" short and that has definately helped for stick handling. you can't go wrong with either curve
