I know most of us are familiar with the lol, and LHS, and basic abbreviations and terminology used on these forums, but i am not gonna lie, sometimes i gotta go to bed and dream up what some of the stuff you guys say means. So the goal of this thread is to list as many terms that may not be familiar with all and what they mean.

An example

OPS-one piece stick

and one particiular i had a ? about was THC, ive been guesing it means the hockey company, but im not even surewhat that is supposed to mean.

CBA - Collective Bargaining Agreement

PA - Players Association

FA - Free Agent

UFA/RFA - Unrestricted/Restricted Free Ageent

If someone says they saw/remember something from CB...that is Core Beam. The now extinct board that pre-dates MSH....where the Mods (and many members) started out.

I know I often refer to the "A". That would be the AHL.

...a post (most common in the "Gear Exchange" forum) which has the sole purpose of "bumping" the thread back to the top of the first page of whatever section it is in...this way, its more likely to be seen, and the person in need of whatever (be it selling or buying something) is more likely to find help.

While on the lines of leage abbrev's, thought I would add that the QMJHL, OHL, and WHL are refered to as "The Q" "The O" and "The W" or "The Dub", respectively.
