I love urban grafitti art. I want to have a local artist paint a mural in my new apartment on one of my walls.

Basnky is great, some of the stuff he does is just amazing.

Thomas Kinkaide's paintings of light.

Robert Bateman's wildlife paintings.

Truthfully, though, I think I like photographs of landscapes and wildlife best.

Im not much of an art fanatic, but when I want new wallpapers or somethin for my computer, I go to Deviantart.com

It has like 24 categorys or somethin and alot of different types of drawings and pictures.

I always go to the landscape ones.

There's a local tagger around here in Edmonton that I have been following.

Here's some of his work.

I don't understand the appeal. Many of the pictures don't seem to be much more than someone taking a brush and spelling the word 'Listen.' They don't seem overly skillful.

that's kind of why i like it, it's simple, like anybody could have done it, but this guy did. it's just about what it means to you.

Deviant Art has some pretty awesome stuff. I'm more into the digitally created stuff, especially the abstract stuff.

For those of you that enjoy well done graf-murals. This is in my school. I was going to take three pictures showing the different stages of the work, but I forgot to do the last one. So I'll do it in a month when school gets back in.

It went from this:

Stage #1

To this:

Stage #2

And I'll update it when I get the finished picture.

I have a lot of wall murals I've snapped over the years from back home. I'm doing a history of Ireland project/book/website thing. So I've been gathering images from the conflict, from both sides, but probably as well I don't post them here

you know one thing that always sticks out about other countries I've been to is the graffiti, or at least the use and meaning of graffiti. Especially in developing countries.

The Dale Chihuly piece in the Bellagio is kick ass, it's the only one I've seen in person.

I like it becuase it's very simple and it actually has a meaning to it but I forgot what it was. His work even got a article in the Edmonton Journal.

Thats because in every other place besides North America, graffiti is an art form. Around here, its just to get your name on something or to vandalize.

I've always been a fan of the impressionist stuff, Monet is my favorite by a wide margin.
