that might lose some customers.

wonder if they'll make an blade that fits that taper profile... might be tough to pull off since it looks like it gets pretty thin.

Can you even re-use the CNT shafts? I see plenty of Synergy shafts from OPS but haven't seen any Stealths. I guess if you're going to drop $200+ on a hockey stick you'll be taking that risk. I'm curious to know at which point diminishing returns sets in...I don't know if a lot of guys who actually buy their own sticks will be willing to shell out $500 for a couple sticks to play beer league (or even high school for that matter).

Yeah, but just like a drug dealer, it's all about the repeat business.

No gonna be possible. If you cut the shaft at the taper point and look at the shaft there's no way it would work. You might be able to find a blade thin enough to fit in the shaft side to side but from top to bottom the hole in the shaft is taller. A normal shaft opening is about 1" tall whereas this one would be about 1.5" As I said before it looks as if someone stepped on it and flattened the sides of it but expanded the height of the shaft.

Go here and look at pic 3 for the visual.

Granted a $200 stick isn't for everyone but there will be no shortage of people willing to spend this. There are plenty of beer leaguers that have a disposable income and nothing better to spend it on. And 2 outta 3 high school kids around here can talk their parents into buying them whatever they want. I don't think that low sales will be a problem for Easton.

It's kinda outta topic. Is Synergy SE discontinued?

And yes JR, I love heel curves(but hate Lidstrom pattern).

I really can't understand why we get these types of questions. I mean, SYNERGY...STEALTH...NOT THE SAME STICK!

Apples and oranges...

Cool looking stick, interesting new (edit: ok maybe not new) concept at least. I'd probably try one out if they weren't $330 here in Canada, maybe I'll shoot down to the states if I can pick one up for $200.

"Eliptical shape"? And people laughed at Trilages. Aren't they eliptical, the ones Tucker uses?

Elipses are circles or ovals. The Trilage was based on a triangular shape originally but ended up going to a parralellogram in the end.

Plus its name is Trilage and not Easton. Easton takes other people's ideas and uses their name to make it 'new' and 'better.'

I thought that was Warrior's gig.

All these companies rip eachother off one way or another, sooner or later. But tell me; How is that Warrior's gig?

warrior repaints and rebrands the same old crap, whereas easton blatantly copies it and calls it their own. (see short-hoseled tapered blades, a la flyweight -> synthesis.)

Not necessarily...Easton invented the tapered shaft. So, by that same logic, Mission and everyone else "blatantly" ripped them off.

Yeah, Warrior's the lesser of two evils since it's ripping off a company it bought and cannibalising it. Fitting that they bought MIA.

Warrior took Innovative's old stuff (minus the Polarfibre :( ), slapped their name on it, gave itself a kind of bad-ass image for all the impressionable individuals and jacked-up the prices. The sticks are the same - though many would argue (and I would agree) that the quality of the replacement blades is lacking. And now they've gone and bought MIA, so...

I shouldn't hate on them TOO much - I've been using AK27 for awhile now, and I have to say that the paint-jobs are holding-up well on the 1100s.

what curves are they going to offer on the junior s17

Only the Iginla (P7) for now.

Ahhh, the old T-Flex. I think I still have one of those buried in my closet somewhere along with an old Christian aluminum from the 80's.

When you say for now, how long are we talking? Do you think an Int. version will be offered eventually?

The regular patterns and flexes will be available eventually. Sometime next year. Right now for the introductory launch Easton is only making a few options available.
