NBH Vapor xxxx stick

you also have to realize that a Canadian LHS might have bought that stock months ago... they cant knock down the price when they paid more for it... prices in stores just dont change immediately... the price change has to happen at the start of the process before it can reach the end consumer...

However, it can work in reverse to your favor as well... if the $US starts to strengthen compared to the $CAD, cheaper made stuff will be trickling down to the consumer before the prices start to change. Thou, that's if you're lucky... nobody's got reservations against jacking the prices up in the middle there.

thats ridiculous. 189! In canada the hockey shop wants 289 for them. So i guess our dollar being even really means nothing.

actually, last time I checked it was 269 so it's not AS bad

bought 10-13 in detroit at showcase

cracked in half in shaft by slapshot 10-18 at practice..

not so happy with durability.. a weak slapshot snapped the shaft perfectly in half after using only 3 games and 2 practices with it.

ill buy one off you

wow, im slow... thanks tho

Just got off the ice with my xxxx for the first time.

Not really impressed to be honest coming from an SE. Hopefully I get used to it, I think i just need to adjust and i'll like it.

hopefully this is better than the S17, or I might have to save up again and get that too lol

The weight isn't listed. As mentioned before, it is slightly heavier than the XXX Lite. I saw one today at my LHS and it was slightly heavier but the balance made the extra weight hardly noticeable.

islesfan170-What didn't you like about the stick? The puck feel, kick on the shaft, etc.

It feels heavy coming from an SE, the feel and shot really arent there yet for me either. Again, It takes time for me to get used to a stick. I hated my Sickick when I got it, but got used to it and used it for half the season. Plus, I couldnt really use it well because my butt end kept on becoming loose so that was a factor also.

In NCAA hockey, those teams using NBH OPS have a 60% Vapor/40% ONE90 distribution. The Dmen want the ONE90 as the Vapor has too much taper down to the blade when the Dman is unloading a bomb from the point. The Dmen were getting too much flex from the Vapor on the point shots.

Anyone else think it feels exactly like an Inno-True 1? '

The blades on my True-1s were a bit stiffer, but the weight, balance and shaft shape feel similar - if not the same.

Wouldn't that make the shots better??

The lower flex zone of the Vapor puts too much whip/torque/shaft stress in a slapshot from the point. The low-mid kick point of the One90 creates a flex zone higher in the shaft. The thinner tapor of the Vapor increases the risk of the shaft snapping down low on a slapshot. The ONE90 is a torsionally stiffer OPS than a Vapor. The Dmen can't risk their OPS snapping on a one timer, shot blocked from the point, and then facing a quick 2-on-1 turnover with the Dman having no stick. Take a Vapor and a ONE90 OPS and hold them together. Look at the difference in the shaft tapors to the blade. Once you see the difference, it will explain itself.

What taxes and duties are those???
The ones that go along with bringing such items through customs and into Canada.

There aren't any. At least anything meaningful.Free Trade Act then NAFTA around for tears now.

When was China made part of NAFTA? Most equipment is made there and that's why it is taxed.
