sourays stick

guys what is up with sourays weird stick. last year he used an SE but the blade was all green. this year the shaft still looks like an SE and the bottom is green but it says S17 (the new stealth) anyone have any idea why he paints his stick green only at the blade

Green is the color of hope.... maybe he's a little superstitious, or maybe he just likes the color.

his blade doesn't look painted here. the colors of the s17 for him are green though.

I was watching the oilers and canucks game last night on Tv and, I noticed that souray was using an Se with green at the end of the shaft like SL's!

I know a little off topic, but couldn't help but notice the increased frequency of players this year with equipment from all over the place. For example on that pic of Souray, the Nike skates, Easton gloves and stick, CCM helmet, etc. I may be off...but I have noticed it more this year than in the past that more players are not brand loyal. That is a good thing in my book...go with what feels good.

I was under the impression his Green blades were superstitious. He had success with the black/green RBK and wanted the green blade when he went to Easton. Not sure if that's really the reason, but I remember hearing it.

So did I. I saw it when he was in the penalty box and it looked like an sl to me. Thought it looked pretty cool.

Yup, here it is:

Souray's Green SE

The green is pretty cool. He was using those sticks with the Habs last year. The S17 must be pretty solid though if he's still using it because he breaks a crapload of sticks. I'd get one when they first come out but I use a Drury pattern so...
