Easton S15 Questions

Recommended Posts

fortunately i bought mine from a pro shop in america and when i emailed him the problems i had experienced he simply told me to send them back to him. dissapointed with the durability i simply couldnt face destroying another pair although they are the best performing skates ive owned. the guy agreed to exchange them for a pair of vapor 40's.

long story short, easton must be supporting the customer well if the guy at the shop instantly told me to send them back and he could guarantee replacement

While talking about the S15 skate, is the sizing different to the 1300c/1500c sizing? They arent available here yet, so i cant try em on. Afaik, i was fine in a 9W 1300c skate back then. Both are 280 if i didnt get anything wrong.

Very much a wider boot. Length wise though, I found myself going from an 8 in the 1500c to, also an 8, in the S15's.

On the ice, the white looks good in combination with the silver (composite). The pics you posted were fine, but since the light wasnt the best, they looked quited different.

You need to edited this posting, you added some sweet holders, brah. ^_^

I got me a pair. I will upload pics soon.

I hope so too but from what i heard my skate where made in Montreal (not to far from where i live) cause all there PRO made stuff are made here in montreal. When i talked to my contact (he is the guy that take the pro order too *Shawn*)He said they are a mile better then retail and that they know/knew the probleme with the glue prob on retail S15 and that they are suposed to have corect it.

Anyway i am keeping my finger cross!

Man, I've had my S15's for over 5 months now, and they look nothing like those pictures DS50. They're a little beat up for sure, but nothing like that. Guess it's shoot and miss with these skates, and I got lucky as hell.

This pair was the worst I have seen. The player could not tighten the skate down low since the eyelets were no longer attached to the bottom of the boot structurally. Bantam age player on the ice 4-5 times a week since October.

I'd hate to have my eyelets pop out. I'm on the ice 5-6 times a week at Midget u18. Like I said, guess I got really lucky with my pair. Got to hand pick my pair right out of the UPS box at the LHS. :D

I was thinking I was going to be getting a deal from my LHS by picking up a pair of the s15's new for $264 ( 50% off) but after seeing these pics, Im going to hold out for something more durable........

I have had mine for 9 months and they are holding up great. On the ice 3 to 5 times a week.

Yeah, this model must be really hit and miss, because a friend of mine has had a pair for close to a year as well and you'd swear they just came out of the box. He skates them a minimum of twice a week, but typically 4-5 times.

i think they have a double stitching on the side where the S15 label is. anyways, this skate is neat. very responsive and agile. im surprised in a positive way! just got back from practice and they were fine. just had some trouble with the toe cap, on both skates where the BIG toe is, it feels a bit too narrow/small/whatever.. but thats cool i will get used to it or will try to heat and punch it out or worst case dremel some milimetres off.

At my shop we have warrantied every pair we have sold, some players have been threw more than 1 pair. The material on the sides of the skates just pulls off. One problem I have seen is the skate seems to be too wide for some players and they tighten the skates so tight at the bottom that it just rips away. Great feeling, light skate but does not hold up. Cant wait to see if next years so called improvements make this skate hold up better. My advise to most of our customers is to stay away from this skate.
