first pic was Weight in his One90's with spraypainted LS2Powers (he's been on this set up since about the Conference finals in 06).

Second pic that k-ody.m posted is One95's with spray painted holders. he's been on this setup since this month.

i know for a fact that when he first got his one90's they were spray painted. 100% sure on that one.

If you look at the one90's pic i posted two posts up, you can even see the uneven paint job and the puplish LS2P's lexan showing in spots. That's a pic from this year. Unless Bauer has been making some black holders....

The ls2's hes wearing with the one90's while playing for st. louis look to be a dark navy blue, similar to the color of the st. louis pants/socks/jersey. . .

He's always used black holders. He had black ls2's on his rbk's when he was in carolina and on his ccm's before that.

I'm pretty sure that the "pimp my skate" colored holders you can get from total hockey are based in st. louis. . . so that may explain it. Doesn't ryan smyth use blue ls2's or pro lites on his skates? I know he did with the islanders/oilers last year

And, his RBK's had black custom+'s, not LS2's

ETA: and to reiterate, his skates here in carolina, i can attest to. Beyond that, I'm just speculating that they've remained painted. as far as being blue... they always looked black to me in st louis, and now in anaheim. it's his signature look, black holders.

I guess knowing the equipment managers is good enough for me. . . . but i don't get why you didn't say that the first time when you were "100% sure" instead of waiting for someone to call your bluff

And I guess its false advertising if they were spray painted. . . considering everytime I heard advertisements on the radio regarding the "pimp my skates" they always mentioned ryan smyth and doug weights names. . . . and now theres speculation that those holders have just been spray painted the entire time

watching the canucks-dallas game today i see that kesler scores a goal with a one90 stick and the next shift hes using a XXXX. Wont find many guys that would switch to a different stick right after a goal

If they ever start actually making black Lightspeed holders, I will buy enough of them to last the rest of my life... But maybe not put them on just yet - I wear Grafs, and my team has New York Rangers colours, so the black holders will make it a little to Jagr-esque. I know his holders are Custom+ and he doesn't wear Grafs anymore, but I'd like to avoid being even a little like Jagr.
