Anyone else watch this game on 1/2/08? It was very exciting wide-open hockey with four third period goals. The speed of the game was quite a contrast after watching the Winter Classic. Ilya Kovalchuk played great; he had an unassisted highlight-reel goal and three primary assists, including the assist on the OT game winner. Whether you are a Canes fan, a Thrashers fan, or like me, a hockey fan, it was a great game.

yea, was pissed about that being a 3 point game. Anyway that game couldn't match the Caps vs Sens 8-6 game a couple days ago.

Pretty much any game that goes into ot is usually a good game, but the highlight of that game was Kovalchuks goal, that was probably one of the best goals i have ever seen.

the third wasnt bad, but the first two periods were bor-ring. Save for Kovalchuk's beating 4 defenders and a goalie. what a crazy goal.

Agreed. Great game. Was able to catch the third and see some higlights. I was beginning to wonder if Kovalchuk scores all his goals top-right on snappers. I guess not. Also loving to see Recchi be a ppg guy right now and proving the Pens.
