Abbieshockey20 1 Report post Posted January 4, 2008 Hello, I've been looking online for over a week now trying to track down some TPS XN10's. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any store, or any place that I can get some of these sticks? Or if anyone has one they'd be willing to sell. It's probably a long shot since they've been discontinued, but I just thought I would see. I'm looking for left handed whip (maybe regular) flex, in pretty much any retail curve except Tkachuk. They can be retail, pro stock, whatever. If anyone knows of any place to get these sticks, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
DEATHTRON 19 Report post Posted January 4, 2008 Call eastwest hockey...I think they might have one or two, but nothing left in whip. Probably only regular for you.Zach
gxc999 7 Report post Posted January 4, 2008 I posted "A Christmas Gift for one Lucky Lefty". It's a new tps xn10 LH SR. But yes, they've been discontinued for years now.

Rustpot 1 Report post Posted January 4, 2008 Perani's in Sterling Heights had a Louisville (no TPS markings) XN10 pro stock in the stick rack, as well as many TPS OPS, but I was only looking in the right-handed section.

davis 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2008 I'm a righty and I've been tryin to find some XN10's ever since I broke the blade of mine last year. Interested in gettin rid of 'em, mack?
Abbieshockey20 1 Report post Posted January 4, 2008 Thanks for all the help guys, I'll see if I can dig some up from those places. I tried EWH, but they don't have any left. And I tried Peranis in Euless, TX and they had some regular flex pro stocks but they were $150, so I decided to pass for now.

Spreedizzle 1 Report post Posted January 4, 2008 Dammit no righties ever want to find these. I still have a couple new ones that will never see the light of day.Got any whip flexes? If so, what curve(s)?They are both stiff flexes, with one being a Dustin Brown heel curve, and the other being a P31. I PM'd him about them a few hours ago. :D
gxc999 7 Report post Posted January 4, 2008 I found one for $100, and I love my other TPS sticks, but I'm almost fearful of buying an XN10 because I know I won't be able to find another one in a year or so. BTW, I'm used to my Response Armor shooting well, is the XN10 going to shoot even better?
Jat 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2008 me wants an xn10 redlite shaft in whip or stiff :D
Abbieshockey20 1 Report post Posted January 4, 2008 Tracked some down at Perani's and Southern Sports Supply. Havent't placed an order yet, but plan on doing that tomorrow. The guy at Perani's says to me there's no flexes on these sticks, they're pro stocks. I thought all TPS pro stocks were marked? I've seen it either on the shaft or name plate. mack 44 Report post Posted January 4, 2008 The flex isn't listed in an obvious fashion with something like "S Stiff." It'll have a letter (usually R, S, etc) after the player's name.
Abbieshockey20 1 Report post Posted January 4, 2008 Yeah, that's the way I usually saw them but I guess this guy at Perani's couldn't figure that out.
mack 44 Report post Posted January 4, 2008 Either you can just have him read the string of letters after the player's name or maybe post the player's name here and someone may know off the top of their head.
Abbieshockey20 1 Report post Posted January 4, 2008 Yeah, I didn't get any names yet, so I'll probably just get him to read off the code.
Stampeder 2 Report post Posted January 4, 2008 Royal Sports in Winnipeg had a bunch of shafts last time I was there, a lot of OPS for righties too. The price wasn't the greatest though, $140 for an R2 XN10.
mack 44 Report post Posted January 4, 2008 Same here. I saw some of the XN10 tapered shafts but they were going for an insane price. Can't remember off the top of my head but this place has Bauer XV shafts going for $130 so that should give a good enough idea.

Wholesale on the shafts was up around a $100 and to be honest, they're worth it.
mack 44 Report post Posted January 4, 2008 I haven't paid over $100 for a shaft and felt justified since I got my last Z-Cores though.
Chadd 916 Report post Posted January 5, 2008 I haven't paid over $100 for a shaft and felt justified since I got my last Z-Cores though. We're something like four or five years out from the initial launch and I still haven't found a shaft with as much pop. There was something undeniably good with those sticks. As cheap as I am, I'll gladly pay whatever I have to in order to get more.
Sven 1 Report post Posted January 5, 2008 Woof. I traded my XN10 for an XXX stick a while back. After reading this thread, i think it wasnt the best move. At least the blade was cracked on the TPS but the shaft was perfect.I knew that XN10s are fine, but didnt know that they are (ebay) gold.
