Good hit. Ovechkin getting dropped is not something you see very often. Can't say the same about his crazy goals.

That was a pretty big hit, Boullion must be really strong to do that because of his size.

5'8" 198lbs

Barry Sanders was 5'8" 203lbs. as a comparison.

He hits "smart" and uses his size and leverage well.

Can we say underestimated? Bouillon is a safe defensive D, is strong as a horse, throws big hit and is a surprising fighter. I personnally wouldn't want to mess with him.

Have you seen his fight against Reich?

I feel bad for the Flower, although I'm not 100% sure what was going on but he's never had any criminal involvemnet, hope all goes well for him

Sounds like he not only lied to officials, but helped his son break his probation repeated times. I don't know if 16 is the age of consent or not, but he could have even been an accomplice to some sort of statutory rape. I don't feel sorry for him at all, even if he was a good hockey player.

We had this conversation going in another thread (I think the Jamie Lynn Spears one) on AOC...I think 14 is the Age in Canada as long as the partner is under 18.

Thats right, I think I even posted the link. But TSN says his son is 20, so I wonder what the age changes to then. Unless of course this happened 2+ years ago?

Even if his son is a little punk, can you blame him for beeing on his side? It's his son! And it's a pretty small news, it's not like he killed a young girl while drunk driving.

Yes I can blame him for being on his side. Its one thing to support someone who is dealing with legal issues, its another to assist and condone.

As per TSN-

faces more than 20 criminal charges, including sexually assaulting a minor, armed assault, uttering threats and forcible confinement.

I heard the son was around 23yrs old, and the sex was "rough" but I don't know if it was consentual. The whole "he drove him to a motel to have sex" is kinda weird to me, I mean its one thing to say I wanna see my gf, but I can't see his son asking just to go to have violent sex with this underager and Guy agreeing right away. That being said neither I nor Guy is dumb, gf+hotel room=sex but it just seems weird that he would go along with it, if indeed Guy knew his exact intentions.

I think his son was under probation and couldn't go out much. Guy felt bad for his poor boy who happened to have a boosted libido and drove him to meet his girlfriend and have sex. What his son did then is beyond me. I'm not saying it was a smart move by Guy, all i'm saying is that i can understand why he did it. All the big media thing is just exagerated in my opinion.

Is it big up in the media in Canada? Not only did Guy knowingly help his son brake his probation or whatever he was on, he then lied about it. It sounds like not everything has come out yet, but those two things alone are both illegal (at least in the states).

Probably a much bigger story in Quebec than anywhere else...it's likely to get a short paragraph in the major papers, and a blurb at the end of a Sportscast...but in Que/Montreal it'll be front page...big news (much like Theodore's family troubles were a few years back).

If the Sens lose tonight and the Habs win again tomorrow against the Rangers, we will only be one point behind them. We still have plenty of games versus Ottawa, we should be in for a nice battle for the first spot. People will be going loco in Montreal if the Habs finish first in the Conference.

damn it all to hell, do I dare cheer for the Maple Leafs tonight. It feels good to be a habs fan right now, I haven't had this much confidence in them since I was in elementary school in which I was too young to remember.

Habs looked great today. Kovalev is a new man this year. Glad to see Markov wasn't injured by that keep in.

Blatant attempt to injure from Kovalev on that hit. If the tables were turned and Hollweg threw it, he would be out of the game, but of course- We are in frog country

Surprise...Kvy's teammate should send him a thankyou card

Even dumber retaliation hit by Hollweg. Kovalev definitely deserved a call, but Hollweg's hit is complete intent to injure. How do you do something like that when your team has scored 3 straight times to tie the game and has all the momentum? If you watch the replay Hollweg had no interest in playing hockey when he came out on the ice, he was going to try to hurt somebody, nothing else.

Kovy should get a game for that elbow, whether or not he will is another thing. I hope that he doesn't...'cause Montreal plays Ottawa on Tuesday (but that's just me being selfish *L*).

Holweg will probably get a couple for his hit from behind. I'd have more respect for Holweg if he went afdter Kovalev and put him into the boards...but no, he goes after the rookie who's got nothing to do with the initial incident. Horse Shit play...from a horse shit player.

I don't think Orr thought Boullion would put up that much of a fight.

[EDIT] GREAT interview with G. Gillet...owner of the Habs. Speaking about hockey in Canada like he's Canadian. Great guy...great owner. They gave every 5th grader in Montreal a ticket to a game...because he said "the decision of what you want to do for recreation in your life is made in 5th grade"

I agree with your suspension figures, Radio
