TPS R8 gloves

Recommended Posts

Beautiful gloves, they do have a nylon model as well. The new "pro" is nylon but has a lower grade palm.

No idea, the local rep sent me an email about them a month or so ago. Try asking your local TPS dealer.

I use the R8 lites...love them. They have the FFH palms...some of the best I have used. I noticed that all of the pro stocks I have seen on ebay have what look to be standard durasoft type palms.

I've been using the R8 Lite for a season now and figure these are the best gloves I've ever used. I highly recommend these. I have a store in Winnipeg Manitoba and we have sold quite a few of this model. You just get the customer to try them on and they are sold. One of the big features is the seamless index and pinky fingers. The palm wraps right around the fingers without any seam in the gusset. Hard to explain but if you get a chance to try them on - take it. Great glove

A lot of people switched to TPS gloves because of those fingers, I loved my old R2 gloves.

so true...when you put them on they feel broken in...it is one of the best performing gloves I have ever used.

Showed up today for hobbes_86 - I ordered the authentic Perrys and these showed up. It's a 14.5" glove, full porto and has the NHL R8 logos (does not say R8 Lite) on it. Found out it was a prostock SMU glove made for HG - not a Perry GI.

I love mine (pro stock nylon 14", longer fingers). Great palms as mentioned before. The nylon model does feel significantly lighter than the standard R8. I would not hesitate to buy another pair.

Those Perry mitts are sweet.

The only colors outside the 4 standard from TPS are the HG X-lite gloves. They have those in yellow...but I am sure you knew that. If they had the FFH palm they would be a steal.

I know two people who bought those HG SMUs and both had to replace them within a month. They're junk compared to the HGT or R8.

I sense a shift away from the non stop 4roll lovin that was so pervasive on this board for a while.

I loved the palms of the 4 roll but they are just so damn heavy compared to everything else I have been using (R8 lite Navy and R/W/B, Pro Stock M. Cooke Vapor XXX, and PPF Eagle X72).

I just received some standard R8's via eBay.. haven't hit the ice with them yet, but they are nice.. they aren't nylon, but have the HFF palm which feels like an already broken in palm.. real nice glove, don't hesitate!

I dont feel like the 4 rolls are heavy at all. I used HG1's in all leather with inserts for years though.

I cant imagine how light the r8's must be.

4 rolls heavy? Not in my opinion but to each his own. The TPS gloves are nice as are Eagles but the Pro 4 roll still feels the best to me.

Not to digress, but that is why I will never buy a TPS product...I don't like how they pull bush league maneuvers to sell inferior product to uninformed customers.

Yeah but that's the retailer's fault not TPS's... after all an SMU is made up for the retailer.
