saveourpens 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 I put the gloves in my bag, open it at home, and find nothing. I go back to the rink, look under every bench, speak to the employees, those who stayed later to skate, and nothing. this is an outdoor rink where many of the city's low life wiggers go to skate circles. I don't know what they're going to do with it.they were eagle x70's . Im pissed beyond belief. No one probably gives a shit, but I thought I'd vent.

Archangel#16 1 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 I was playing a game once and I heard the other team getting ready for their game and they were going through our things. After the game I checked my bag to find out if any of my things were stolen. Turns out that one of their players stole one of my shoes. I look through all their bags and find it. I then proceeded to throw the teams clothes into the locked skatepark. I also took a puck from them because thats what we do around here. Childish, yes. But I was so pissed and thats what came to mind.
hockeyplaya97 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 An asshole from my team last year stole $200, 2 A&F coats and a phone from a team last year before a game. Police put the place on lockdown and found him and he went to court and got like a shitload of community service.

Left it in stickbad in the lockerroom, came back it was gone. stuff happens what can u do.Gotta be the only super paranoid freak on the team, just like me ! :D Bring my sticks everywhere I go!Funny story actually about when I had a few dollars stolen from me, including just one of my skate soakers. I came back to the locker room after my game to find my pants, neatly folded and placed on the bench. I just laughed. Wish he(or uh, she, I suppose ? ) would have ironed my shirt though. Honestly, I probably would too. He has no lawsuit without actual damages and no lawyer will want an intentional battery/nominal damage case.
mack 44 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 Oh there are ways to not leave bruises but yeah, I guess we shouldn't spread that kind of advice around.
Rustpot 1 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 The backup stick I bring is my beat up shaft I got for $15 with a wood blade, I'm sure people won't look twice at it. Wallet, phone and keys stay in the car since rifling through a locker room is much more common than cars around here.Had our ice rental payment stolen last year. $95 was the cost and we were high that week, probably $120 stolen, but the owner didn't have us make up the $95.Had one of my skate guards taken. The culprit left one of his. Funny thing was that when I went to put the guards on I picked it up, saw it was a different style and it was probably 6 sizes too small. How my guard fit on his skate without realizing it was the wrong size, then going to adjust it seeing it's a different style I will never know.

ktang 34 Report post Posted February 3, 2008 There was a story at our rink about one team catching a thief. They beat him up and locked him in the room. This rink had a padlock system, where each team uses their own padlocks. Usually the padlock is put on the hook, so that the last player out could lock up. The thieves would put their own padlock, opened, on the hook, and then be able to open the locker room and clean it out. Unfortunately for this thief, one player broke his stick and went back to the room for his backup...I've lost many things, but unfortunately not my car yet, from locker room thieves. Only story I have with locker room theft was a guy came in after pickup and yelled somebody stole $400. Pretty much at the same time everybody in the room said why did you bring in $400.
