ponty 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2008 Ken Hodge Jr. - 30 goals as a Bruin rookie then just about nothing. Bob Joyce for Boston is no a bad choice either.
chippa13 1844 Report post Posted March 3, 2008 One of the biggest of them all, Samsonov. You're right, a guy who tops the 20 goal mark in 4 of his first 5 seasons in the league is definitely a one-hit wonder.I'm from Ohio and have FSN Ohio and they talk him up so much and make him out to be a player that is the greatest they have ever seen and it pisses me off.....and i hate the CBJ cause I think Columbus was and is one of the worst choices for a NHL hockey to go...sorry bout that rant but I hate CBJ hockey soo much I wish they would fold and move somewhere else like a Canadian city that loves hockey and deserves to have a team thereYeah, that state of Ohio has no business with a pro team. I can't believe that they let Ohio State and Miami of Ohio even have teams.
Penguinsfanatic 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2008 You cannot compare NHL teams to college teams in terms of having a team or not....Ohio State has had a team since the 1960's and Miami has had a team since sometime in the 90's just because a University in Ohio can field a hockey team does not mean that a state or area can field an NHL team, those are TWO totally different markets....I was simply stating the fact that there were and are far better places for a team to be situated other than Columbus, Ohio....For the first couple years attendance was in the in the top 15 in attendance only to break into the top 10 once at 8th....and since then they have been in the lower half of attendance and are sitting at 28th this season, once the spectacle of pro hockey wore off then we are going to see what happened to Nashville are we not and this team hasn't even had a playoff berth or even been in contention for the Cup and it doesn't look like they will be going to the playoffs this season or for that matter even next season.... gxc999 7 Report post Posted March 3, 2008 If a defense only needs to worry about one guy they can target him. If a football team can run the ball but have Trent Dilfer as QB, you know you can play run the whole time. You add another REAL threat on his line and you'll see how good he is. He's not an elite player but he's better than most people give him credit for. After having suffered through however many years of Dilfer in Tampa, I cracked a big smile when I read this :D I'd like Brian Gionta for $800, Alex. He came out of nowhere to post 48 goals in 2005-06 but has never topped 25 goals in any other season. BTW, has anyone named Jordan Leopold yet? 33 pts in 2003, with 6 PPG, and he hasn't been healthy for more than three weeks at a time since then.

mack 44 Report post Posted March 3, 2008 Well to complete the crossover thread, the Bucs traded for Griese. That gives them what, 12 QBs on the roster?
Jordan 13 Report post Posted March 4, 2008 How about Nikolai Borschevsky of the Leafs ?! Rumour was that he was a lot older than the Leafs thought:34 goals as a rookie in '92/'9314 the next year0 the next , then 1; and then off to the German league.http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php3?pid=

mattzilla 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2008 I think labeling dopita a one hit wonder is a bit muchthey buried him on the 3rd and 4th lines playing with shit linemates and he STILL put up pretty decent points. and he had a 4?5? goal game, i cant remember.philly screwed him.
chippa13 1844 Report post Posted March 8, 2008 Dopita had no desire to play in the NHL. It took until the third team had his rights before he even agreed to cross the pond to play in North America.
