Habs order equipment for Marian Hossa

Recommended Posts

Ran it through a french - english translator.

The rumours sending Marian Hossa in Montreal are done increasingly persistent. According to what Mathias Brunet reports, of the daily newspaper the Press, the Canadian would have ordered parts of equipment to the colors of the team for the attacker of Thrashers of Atlanta. Brunet, which mentions the names of Michael Ryder and Mark Streit like potential currency of exchange for Bob Gainey, specifies however that such an order does not mean that the business would be in the bag. Hossa, which touches 7 M$, piled up 53 points in 58 matches this season.

I don;t think Hossa would be a good fit in Montreal..He is a player who plays for himself and the Habs have to much talent(There, I said it) being a rangers fan. He would be perfect on the leafs honestly what I think

I don't like giving up Streit though...

streit will become a ufa after this season, chances are he will be looking at other team offers...

I know he's UFA...but I really hope they re-sign him.

Did you have to toss out the oldest cliche in the book for an offensive minded player?

I'm afraid, very afraid. If Montreal gets Hossa, i'd practicly give them the stanley cup. Hockey's evil emipire needs to win atleast one cup every decade. If they don't this year or next year this will be the first decade they don't win a cup. It just seems like this is their year.

I'd love to Montreal vs. Rangers Eastern conf. final. I'm sure the NHL would too.

Bad joke today on the radio.... I was in my car and i hear: "It's confirmed, Marian Hossa is officially in Montreal. I repeat, Marian Hossa is in Montreal." After a long silence he goes: "Yea, he just landed with his team, their playing vs the habs tonight hahaha."

Funny as hell.

It is a good point, and I'd like to see them obviously win one this decade. But I always think to myself, there are 30 teams and it seems like half of them have a shot, and I'd much rather it be this way than it was pre lockout for a while when you knew it'd be the Detroits, Colorados, Dallas, New Jersey, Flyers etc always being there. I hope whatever Montreal does actually helps them..from 01-07 there was a total of maybe 3 trades by the cup winner at the deadline, and they weren't anywhere close to blockbusters.

Hossa would be a great addition and if they can sign him to a longer deal, will they be getting rid of Kovalev after the season? I'm a lifelong Habs fan, but I think they need more defense than offense.

...why would that get rid of kovalev? the whole point of getting hossa would be to have help on offense for kovalev
