ak27 and dolomite

Recommended Posts

I think Mack's ratio of giving wise-ass "witty" insults as apposed to actual advice is like 1:20. We all understand that your really edgy and quick but it's getting old man, serious.

so you say he gives 1 witty insult for every 20 appropriate responses? good one genius.

given the fact that he asked a question which basically answers it self, I say the responce was funny and appropriate.

can a dolomite blade fit into an ak27 even though its tapered?

If this guy were brand new, it would be wrong to rag on him. However, he wasn't, so Mack was(IMHO)well within his rights to give a wisearse reply.

But man not everyone knows every single thing there is to know about hockey equipment. And it seems like he just sits at his computer waiting for some stupid question to appear so he can show everyone how good he is at shutting people down. I'm all for some good humor, just not always at others expense.

If you're going come off as a stalker and keep a (shitty, erroneous) ratio of my posts you may as well actually put some fact in there. I do have a good share of helpful posts and even the initial response here is good advice. It really is a horrible, horrible question and you know it. They stated they knew it was a tapered blade and wanted to see if it fits in the shaft. I answered the question and if they feel bad for sounding stupid, it's because that's how they came off. If you want redundant questions that don't deserve a thread actually being threads, I hear the Easton/CCM places are awesome for that.

Of course the question is stupid for people who know a lot about equipment, but a simple no to his question would have ended it right there, instead you post an insult that you know will just start shit. And it just escalates from there.

It wasn't even that much of an insult. Did it embarrass? Maybe, but it would have only if the person realised what a bad question it was. It's also not the first time that question (or other tapered/standard difference questions) was around, but that Search option is selling like whatever the opposite of hotcakes is.

On one hand I agree about Mack, from time to time he takes it too far. But lets not forget the guy that asked that question has over 100 posts to his credit. Surely if he's been posting that many responses he should have picked up some knowledge in that time.

However, a simple explanation without the insults would have been enough, I mean seriously guys most of us are adults and showing it once in a while isn't that hard of an exercise.

I friggen know that standard and tapered are different...I know the hosel on tapered is shorter...i just didnt no if it COULD fit in the shaft..a NO would have been ok...I knew it wouldnt be perfect but I was wondering If I could make it happen

see you've got it backwards, tapered doesnt necessarily mean that the hosel is shorter but it does definitely mean that it wont fit in a standard shaft

I actually like how the site is run. Considering how many teens are on here, and it hasn't devolved into "l33t" speak and silly pictures like so many other forums, the mods are doing a great job. I can actually read about hockey and equipment.

I agree. If Mack has the time to keep all these kids in check so we don't have to read a bunch of text messages from 12-17 year olds, I am all for it.

This is the only hockey site you can even understand if you are over 18.
