You can't access the buy/sell/trade forums until you've accumulated enough posts to upgrade your member status. The idea is that new members w/ no history on the boards are far more likely to be involved in "unsatisfying" transactions.

Basically the issue is that:

-No one wants to make a deal with someone no one has any experience with, or has no reputation.

-People don't come here just to use the B/S/T feature of MSH.

so becuz of those reazons youz gotta wait a bit.

Anyways, thanks for helping to demonstrate why the rule is in place. Nobody wants to end up being cheated by a smart ass little shit like yourself.

To anyone that's not a jackass and is curious about the rule, it has helped to eliminate the vast majority of scamming and cheating from the sale forums. You don't have to be "special" to access them, just not a little prick who feels every post needs to be a jab at someone.

Im sorry but I Just think the rule is retarded...ive sold over $2000 worth of car parts on forums, and have never ever had a complaint or issue. Ive also bought tons of shit through forums, and have only be screwed once, but all I did was file a complaint with paypal. for those of you paying with cash, cheque or money order, you deserve to whats coming to you. I only use paypal or cc. that way there is a nice paper trail, which you will be able to use incase you are screwed.

btw I wouldnt exactly call me "little"., unless 6'3" 220lbs is little where you come from.

Yes, people who pay via conventional non-electronic means deserve what's coming to them. Do people who drive cars w/o side impact air bags deserve to get t-boned by drunk drivers...probably...

To put it bluntly- we don't know you.

There have been several incidents just in the last month of people getting access to the sell section only to jerk people around.

I share your sympathies for cash/MO, but unlike you I've been taken for a fool more than once. I am a very trusting person and the great individuals that run this board see fit to try and protect us from would-be thieves by requiring members to be active contributers in order to gain access to the commerce area.

If you're so hard-up that you really need equipment, there are several other forums that do not restrict members for access to commerce, ebay, etc.

If you want to conduct your business here, all that is asked is that you contribute and act like a well-mannered member. If you try to post random things to simply raise your count, piss people off, act like an ass, disrespect other members, mouth off, use poor English and grammar (within reason), or use chat/1337/internet lingo than you will find yourself unwelcome to enjoy benefits such as the commerce section.

It's not just a buy/sell forum, trading is also part of it. This is thought of as a community and a level a trust is always nice to have with the person you're dealing with (whether paypal will reimburse you or not).

For you to think that people deserve what's coming to them because they choose to trust someone within the community.... well, then let's just say that it'll take you some time to even have that opportunity.
