Gotta love NHL shoulder pads. Seems like most players don't even bother. Alfredsson just has two caps held together with string without anything in the middle.

How ironic is it that these guys pimping brand new gear each year are using equipment from a decade ago.

Watching the post-game interviews after the Rangers game last night, Shanahan was at his locker and you could see the next 3 or 4 lockers down. All the shin guards looked like they were from the early 90's.

basically, the only guys that don't wear jofa are wearing stuff like bertuzzi and the like from decades ago

i dont know bout brand new shoulder pads but my sherwood traditional shoulder pads are the best. the smaller the shoulder pads u get better upper body movment with the puck. anyone remember vince papale from invincible? during the try out he was wearing big shoulder pads wich preventend him from running fast then he goes in the middle of nowere to change them to smaller pads. and from there he was flying.

i dont know if its all a myth but i can say it does make a diffrence. ive tried bigger ones that i borrowed off my friend who works in a lhs and i just didnt like them very much.

but then agian im not in the nhl so my shiny two cents might not be sparkling enough to matter :lol:

I liked the 5030s more than the NBH Classic.

I remember McSorley's shoulder pads were just caps sewn onto his suspenders.

There were pics from the "Shirts off Our Backs" night at MSG and Staal was wearing all Jofa/Rbk gear. Guess he's not a fan of all the stuff he's modeling in the NBH catalogue. hehe
