Recommended Posts

Alberta do not get a hue amount of snow anyways. Its always hella cold but not a whole lot of snow. We had at least 4 feet left two weeks ago but has been melting very quickly thank god.

Those pictures are what it looks like from October to March around here. You saying snow is uncommon for you or something?

its not uncommon, it just sucks that 1.5 weeks ago all the snow had already melted, and we were up to around 13ish celsius. had my summer tires on and everyone was already bringing out their summer cars and motorcycles.

all of a sudden we get dumped with 2 feet of snow and nasty windchills. hopefully this is the last of it

We had one tonight, just freaken nuts. this weather should not be happening, I was getting excited for baseball.

Anyone else get some freak storms this weekend?

As far north as you are, why are you surprised?

cold lake is only like central alberta, not that far north. I havent seen this much snow this late my entire life, my pops says maybe once or twice more has he seen snow like this. I can't even shovel my sidewalk. I can't even find my sidewalk

Anywhere that's a couple hundred miles north of Montana is "that far north". I think Mack's the only one closer to the arctic circle.

I think i'm between the two, in the summer at least, reppin' North Bay Ontario, all canadians know it as the original Hockeyville! :P

Ya for near the end of April it is, i cant even remember the last time there was snow this late in April let alone snowing almost a foot, plus -15C weather especially when not even a week before it was +18C.

You guys in Alberta barely saw snow all winter! It's freaky that you get that much now, my brother was heading to Calgary from Red Deer and said accidents were everywhere, he was going 20 at one point. I noticed when I was out there that hardly anyone has studded tires either. It's beautiful here in the maritimes, but I still have 3 feet of snow melting in my back yard. Floods are starting up.

no snow? my hockey net was standing in my front lawn and you could BARELY see it. And everyone has winter tires, usually. Depending where you are.

Here it is regularly -20 to -50 with 3 and a half feet of snow

Things like this happen all the time, weather is cyclical. Sometimes it's warmer than average, sometimes it's cooler than average. That's why it's called an average. Same goes for rain or snow. You go back far enough and I bet you'll find snow in May in Northern Alberta or in Duluth MN.

I live across the bridge from Duluth and we had a light snowfall this past weekend.

I'm cursing Alaska. Day before it snowed last, I thought about wearing shorts. Did the same thing for the weekend and we got 2' of wet, sticky and sloppy snow.
