Itech HS22 Visors

Recommended Posts

I'm having trouble comparing these 3 visors based on what sites have posted about them on the internet. Which one...

Is most protective?

Is least susceptible to fogging?

Sits closest/furthest from face?

Thanks

No I do not. But I don't think you should be concerned with that, either. There are no visors on the market that will give you Gretzky type vision.

Most protective would be the Aviator as it is the largest.

Least likely to fog would be the Wave as it is cut higher at the nose allowing your breath to escape out and not up.

Distance from your face should be roughly the same and will depend entirely on the helmet that you wear.

I just went from the straight to the prowave cause $30 is too good of a price to pass up and I was not 100% on the straight. The prowave as Chadd says is less fogging and I notice it less. It is larger but not much over the straight. I do find that as I have it adjusted it sits just a bit closer to my face.

yeah i would agree and if your looking for overall face protection DO NOT get the straight cut....

i have one for reffing just because it covers my eyes, but my nose is not really covered...if your looking for eye protection though, i'd say the straight is good...

it works for me, smaller visor, never fogs, but a LOT of the time, if im playing with it, sweat somes off my face and goes on my visor.

A straight comes down to the bottom of my nose. Coverage depends on your helmet and face shape.

They both use pro-stock visors from Itech (different cut).

Last time I saw a retail pro-wave cut, was on Ovechkin the first 2-3 months he played in the NHL.

I use the straight and I've never had problem with it fogging. I'm happing with the protection I get, but like stated earlier probably the least protective out of the three.

Ok thanks guys, so it sounds like the pro wave gives you the best of everything, which makes me curious, why don't more people use it?

It's a great visor. I'd think that since it doesn't look nearly as awesome as many other visors, it isn't used as much. IMO, style wise, it isn't to appealing. But I wear a cage, I'm to scared to wear a visor.

I 2nd krwwc6.

The Straight cut looks "cooler"... You look a little like a bug with the Pro-Wave, I still think it looks ok and performance wise it's awesome.
