I'd stay away from hockeydogs.com. they're run by the same folks who run hockeyone.com.

last year I bought a new gear bag from them. both the picture and description clearly showed end pockets AND skate pockets (I was specifically looking for skate pockets) yet they sent me the cheaper duffle version of the same bag. I called them about a dozen times and they NEVER called me back. I also tried emailing but they never returned my emails either. I finally ordered from someone else but now I'm stuck with a bag I can't use.

Wow, they sent you the wrong item and they never returned your emails. Sounds like pretty bad customer service. For myself I'd rather pay someone else a little more money for the item, knowing that they have great customer service if anything goes wrong. Seems to be a slow death of customer service here in Southern California I have to say.

I've had no experience with the websites, but Dave at Hockey Central here in Southern California has always been great with Customer Service. Anytime I've asked him about something he either was able to get it for me or if he wasn't familiar with it he would find out for me in a timely fashion. He doesn't have a lot to look at in the store, but he can get whatever you want pretty quickly. I also like the fact that he isn't just pushing the most expensive stuff either, he gives you an honest opinion. I shop ther just because of Dave.
