Dolomite Spyne

Recommended Posts

If you look close you can see the spyne on the blade. Never the less still an ugly stick.

Not the return of the Novious Yet? One can only hope.

Maybe this means that the Spyne tappered blade will be a new product next season.

Novius much? Unless its the same stupid blade that's on the kronik.

Its the stupid Kronik blade. If you look really close at the blade, you can see the indentations.

EDIT: A2rhino posted as I was typing.

Where are they located? Nice glove selection.

I started thinking that Warrior has kinda screwed themselves with their marketing. They claimed that the Spyne was just a part of the entire unimolded 1 piece (mac daddy/ true-1) stick and that it all worked together. Method to the madness so to speak. Now they have gone and put it on a fused stick. Interested to see how they spin it.

Didn't the new NHL store in NY have something like that?

Just because Warrior has them painted as Dolos doesn't mean they are. NHL guys use Dolos painted like Kroniks, maybe they have a bunch of overrun sticks.

The paint job isn't retail for Dolo or Kronik sticks, so why do we assume they're Dolos with Spyne blades? Why would dozens of brand new sticks become an art piece besides?

Interesting point Rustpot. Maybe fall preview or prototypes??? Who's to say. I guess I would wonder; if they were goign to be hanging in the air with a different paint job, why even bother to put any name on them let a lone Dolo? That is if they arent a preview or prototype product.

Dolo's their most popular stick, and they might have hundreds of spare Kroniks. I wouldn't be surprised if the Kronik only has a season left of sales unless they drop the price to move units or revamp the Spyne to not suck anymore.

Why would they tie up dozens of sticks they can sell like that unless they're sticks they can't sell.

Besides, if they stick the Spyne onto the Dolomite the price would have to go up, putting the Dolo into a price bracket that would hurt sales. If the price doesn't go up, then what justification do they have for charging so much for the Kronik over their other sticks. Doesn't make sense, especially with the fact that the Spyne blade is trash. Unless Warrior counts on all of their buyers being mindless and will buy new, more expensive Dolomites thinking they're tons better.

good thing he didn't take credit for my photos, i took those photos at the pro hockey life that just opened where i live, and these are a prototype of the dolomite spyne, friend who works there was putting it together with the manager and said those are the prototypes of the dolomite spyne being released in the winter time retailing for about 305$ CDN. And unfortunently none of those sticks are no longer good for use as they all have holes drilled through them :(

Hey Kachun sorry didn't mean to "steal" your photos, didn't know you had an account here and I didn't see anything about it on here.

The blade for the Kronik/mac daddy is formed apart from the shaft. It's probably a different mold from the Dolomite but it wouldn't be that tough to make a new mold for the dolo style blades.

The one thing I didn't get was the fact that they "fixed" a problem with the mac daddy blades with the invention of the "spyne tech", yet they continued selling the mac daddy without the improvements.

You have to realize that the people who buy into Warriors marketing usually don't have anywhere near the attention span needed to compare advertising claims or remember what they said last year.

I used my novius last night for the first time in a long time. Shoots hard, but the twisting during flex is really really annoying.

Warrior is their own worst enemy. Like a junkie, they need to be saved from themselves.

Question is, are they arrogant enough to put that spyne-o-crap blade on every Warrior stick?
