How long are you on the ice?

Recommended Posts

Let's see...

4 hours of coaching over three varying days.

A one-hour game either Wednesday or Sunday.

Four hours of pickup on Fridays, with half an hour of skating alone beforehand (yes, I skate by myself - I also drink by myself).

I guess that's 9.5h per week. Christ, my wife was right...

I'm in 10th grade, I go to a New england prep school, and skate during my free periods. (I scheduled all my free's so they are one after another) The AAA team is only for the Fall before my school season starts. I will admit I'm starting to get a little burnt out, and chose to take this week off except for my fall team.

Right now i don't have any money so i only play 1 night a week for an hour. Now that i picked up a job to go along with school, I am hoping to play 2 times a week. Once the free outdoor ice hits at the end of December I will be playing 4 or 5 times a week :)

Between March to November... Dec or January if the weather nice you'll find me on the job 12 to 16 hrs a day, six days a week. Either at the plant,in the lab,or on the road itself. I have taken my gear with me if theres a rink close by for a quick stick n puck or pick up game but usually

its just whatever I can find on a rain day, if I drive home.

In the off season I hibernate for the first week but will then catch a week long clinic somewhere... then 1 hr stick n puck every weekday, pick up game on Mon., Weds, Fri. 1.5 hrs each with a roller hockey game on Sat. 1.5. Sunday is a day of rest... period.
