which cage looks the best?

Recommended Posts

I have a CCM vector 08 helmet thats in the mail and I should be recieving it shortley, now I need to buy a cage to go on it. Which cage looks the best withe the CCM vector 08, I was thinking maybe a CCM 480. If anyone has and pictures of there combo or suggestions, they are greatley appreciated.

I had an RBK cage on mine when I had to wear one before my wedding (I usually wear a half shield). It was comfortable and didn't mess with my vision too much.

This one is the best looking Helmet+cage setup ever

First Jofa then RBK

Diffcult to find in the shops now a day though

I'd have to say the helmet isn't that great aesthetically. The cage on the other hand, hands down is my favorite cage made. I'm very happy that RBK is now making that cage again.

I like Itech's Phantom i2. Black on the outside best to reduce glare (and looks good), white on the inside - easy to see through. Easy choice - best of both worlds.

well it would also kind of depend on whether you wanted to go for how you look or best vision or what. some kids will sacrifice a little quality if it looks good. which then i would say go jofa or ccm cages... if you want quality of product then probably the newer itechs would be your best bet. in my opinion

It the not so distant future there will be a list of "Approved helmet cage combos" these will be ones (In Canada for now only) that will be allowed on the Ice for competative hockey. As we all know some cage and helmet combos are not tested together and therefore not CSA approved.

That being said i am hearing that kids are getting tossed off the ice (in canada again) for there HECC sticker being out of date.

This in no way actually means a thing as most know the HECC sticker is for the USA and the CSA is for Canada only.

if the ref trys to throw you off politly explain he may be misunderstood and if the doesnt work then you better find a conveyner and fast.

There is nothing in any rule book at this point in Canada saying what combos are suited or that your HECC sticker must be up to date.

As I said thought the approved combo list is coming so better get ready for a change in your combo soon if your Midegt aged and playing competetive.

personally, i think the vector cage looks kind of greasy, id like to see a black vector 08 with a white ccm/jofa 480 or a classic jofa bubble

Yeah, Vector cage looks boxy and fug.
