Grit Hockey Tower

We sell 'em. They're probably the best you're going to find (if you go for wheel bags <_< ). My first impression of it was "Christ, this thing is pretty heavy," but I always forget that there are people who don't carry their bags...

My son's hockey team has them.

Pros:

-Can clearly see that you haven't forgotten anything, as there is a cubicle for each pice of equipment

- Durable

-pulls easily

-cool looking

Cons:

-they are big...hard to fit multiple bags in the car. Take up a ton of locker room space when everyon has one

-fairly expensive...it's just a bag

I could see this being alright for an avid traveller but I couldnt see myself ever getting sometyhing like that. I've been using amsingle zipper bag for almost 10 years, can't get into all the crazy compartments and whatnot.

I didn't see room for shoulder pads, does it fit shoulder pads and pants on the bottom?

Where do you put socks, jerseys, etc...?

everything fits.

There are pockets and such for jerseys and socks. more than enough room for misc. items.

I play rec hockey in lower New York state and I know 3 or four guys who use these bags. They have plenty of room and appear to be put together very well. I do know of one guy who went through two of these bags because of busted zippers... He ended up going back to a traditional style bag. It could very well be from mis-use because I haven't heard any other complaints. I would definitely try it out if the price was right.

they are very jetsons-like....especially when you are getting dressed......purists/traditionalists always laugh at those bags.....but hey do what YOU want

also be prepared for "hey, does the bag play for you too?" :D

I have to say I love the Grit Tower bag !!!

It's always easy to forget things with a regular bag, not with this bag, best hockey bag of all time.

I got it for Christmas (2007) and it's awesome no rips, holes... ect...

A lot of people will crack jokes about this bag, but I really couldn't care less. Just think when they forget something, it wouldn't happen with this bag.

Some people call it the "hockey suit case"

By far the best hockey bag in the world !!!

Our store carries them, and we sell 'em like hot cakes. We can't keep 'em in.

I still think they are silly...after a game, I don't feel like 'organizing' my gear/bag. Just throw everything in there, and that's that.

I do know of one guy who went through two of these bags because of busted zippers...

He must be hard on them because of all the ones that we've sold, we haven't had one come back because of a defect. No negative feedback whatsoever, besides a couple folks that bought the Jr sized one only to find it too small for their 12 yr old kids...

Pros:

-Can clearly see that you haven't forgotten anything, as there is a cubicle for each pice of equipment

- Durable

-pulls easily

-cool looking

-Easy to air-out your equipment. Rip it open, and for the most part, you can leave everything in there.

Debatable. I might argue that my standard, team-issued, single compartment canvas bag is best. Simple, efficient, traditional and almost completely unchirpable.

We've had the bags on display in our store for about 2 weeks now, haven't sold one and certainly I don't expect them to sell like "hotcakes". They are a great concept and design but will not appeal to the masses. Just too big. Prob won't fit in most of the cars, you'll have to have a SUV. Everyone who looks at them says they are cool, but no takers. We'll see.

In a large metropolitan area where a lot of our players take the subway we might see some good sales with these. Especially for the Intermediate bags for the nannies and parents. It's much easier for them to see what's in there. The wheels are pretty sturdy and evenly balanced, and it tows well. Some wheel bags tend to be a bit cumbersome when you wheel them, but this is designed so that it's a lot easier to cart.

Already sold one yesterday. A senior bag for a yth goalie. It worked.

I think I might buy a couple junior-sized Grit bags for my sons, a squirt and a mite. The rink where they play doesn't have any locker rooms, so all the kids are getting dressed, mixed in with parents and families, in the lobby. It's a real ass pain with a single-compartment bag.

Right now the are available in Sr (36") and Intermediate (33").

I believe these are also branded as the TPS R10 Shelf Bag

For the hell of it, I checked our sales for these bags today...

Since we began carrying them last winter, we've sold 60+.

For something that I thought would never sell, that's not bad at all.

(We were out of them last week, and we must've received about 10 request for them during that period of time.)

A few guys I know have this bag and raved about it. I needed a new bag, so I splurged and picked up one a couple of weeks ago. WOW it is SOOOOOO much better than throwing stuff into a conventional bag. It really forces you to be organized. I was always sick of hunting for stuff in my old bag.

I put my stuff in a little differently than what Grit recommends. I can fit all of my pads, including elbows and gloves, in the bottom. All my soft stuff (shirts, socks, etc.) go on the middle shelf.

Highly recommended.

Yep, love mine too. Nicer on an old guy's shoulders too after a game and worn out, lol. Plus once stuff is dry it takes up a lot less space than a normal bag does. I can wheel it out of the way and know everything's in it and ready for the next use.

Talked to their sales manager the other day and they are selling tons of them.
