Anyone watching the Superskills competition yet?

Who is this singing? Its hilarious at how bad it is, and how bad the NHL is about getting entertainment acts for their events.

I'm trying to figure out the concept behind the jock rock medley. I was just telling my wife the same thing, the NHL has shown an amazing ability to pick the worst possible "talent" for their events.

Very nice ovation for Vinny, we all knew that was gonna happen, the Habs are sooo trying to drag him up north. Will he be wearing #4 tomorrow, in Montreal?

I'm pretty sure they had a pretty good big guy wear that once in Montreal, so #4 is retired.

I'll second everyone's comments that the intro was absolutely homo. Am I wrong, or has the young stars always been before the skills in the past?

He is wearing 4 in the game...Bouwmeester is wearing #3. They had their ASG jerseys on this morning for practice.

And for the intro...as much as I hate Simple Plan...they are from Montreal...should've had them...or Sam Roberts.

I was quizing you guys, I saw the practice footage earlyer and saw he had number four. He will wear red and might very well be bumped up to faceoff roster, playing with Kovy (a special demand from Habs president, Pierre Boivin to Claude Julien)

So....are they going to get rid of the Breakaway Challenge yet? Ugh, that didn't turn out very well.

The Elimination Shootout was awesome though.

No, they'll 'tweak' it and bring it back for a third abomination.

It boggles my mind that they couldn't get the clock to work again this year to time the fastest skater competition. Hand timing done by a ref cannot be accurate, at least not down to the tenths of seconds they need to properly time the event.

Who cares really? I don't think the players care. It's just for fun and it was the same stopwatch, same guy timing it for every player. It's the most boring competition anyway...you can see that the guys aren't going 100%. They're not going 100% in any event actually...which would probably make it a better show!

I loved how AGAIN, the young stars game was ruined by constant replays that cut away from the actual game going on. Thanks VS, I didn't want to see those 5 or so goals that weren't televised.

People need to get off Ovechkin's cock, he won without one single skill goal... Loved how he brought the entire event to a standstill so he could play dress up.

Wasn't David involved in one of them? I don't know if he scored or he assisted, but never saw it.

The Elimination Shootout was by far the best thing of the night.

He did get at least a couple assists....There was one great 3 way passing play that ended in a goal. He made a few nice setups that didn't connect as well. If they continue the Young Stars...I'd like it to be 4 on 4, and have the first 2 'periods' be the half speed try to be fancy stuff and actually go full speed (minus the hitting, tell Staal) and really showcase something for the last 6 minutes.

Think so, think they were replaying it when we got to miss a breakaway. Perron was just about the only high-spot for the sophomore team.

My favorite goal was the Stamkos goal where he passed it between his legs to the left side of the goal, pass came back to Stammer in the low slot where he one-timed it past Price. ...He was a cherry picking mo-fo!
