after reading the Hockey News article about Tuomo Ruutu i decided to check out his website and found this picture of him at the airport you can see the M-1 and 3 regular synergies, but could that other mission stick be the new hex-1? maybe justin could help us out on this?

Yea it's a flyweight. The part of the stick where all of the heating instructions and warranty info gives it away.

Justin can probally clarify this, but i think i saw a prototype of the Hex-1, and it was a white version of an M-1. all white and the writing was in black. now this could have been just a prototype version and not the retail one, Justin wana clarify this?

Hex-1?

Damn...never heard of that...

It was mentioned in the latest Hockey News' stick buyers guide. It's supposed to be their "Ultra-premium" offering coming out sometime in the future.

What are we looking at, a hexagon-shaped shaft?

That would make a lot of sense since you can make the shaft thinner and still reach the same level of durability.

i hated mission sticks and all of there eqipment

...and how long ago was this when you tried them?

I love how people bash mission by saying that theyre best in roller and should stay there, yet they're making some of the best if not the best equipment out there.

Their old composite blades weren't so great tho.

in regards to mission gear, i've found that they're gloves were pretty nice, although i hated it when they had that big bulky index finger and thankfully they fixed that. our team currently uses their m-1 pants and i've gotta say theyre some solid pants, a little on the heavy side but they're built to take bullets. i briefly used a pair of their old amp 7 skates, which were a comfortable boot, but they just didnt work for me. i don't think i'll be buying an m-1 stick tho, since i find them blade heavy and a friend of mine has had the blades go soft on him on each one he had. i wouldn't mind giving an m-2 shaft a shot tho. my brother swears by their skates, the pure lites n now s400s, so i'm gonna say missions in the right direction towards their gear, and should be a household name like easton, ccm, and bauer in a year or two

i seriously considered going almost all mission this year. i think they are really good at the equipment that they make that you can see on the outside, meaning sticks gloves pants skates. i never tried the helmet or the protective, basically just because of the look and the comfort of most of those pieces are pretty close from brand to brand (in most cases). sticks i personally think mission is the best for me. i use 2 piece and as far as im concerned the M-2 and L-2 are as good as it gets, the only things that compare are the redlitexn10 and r2xn10 and inno 1100 shafts, tapered and non. the innos tourque open tho and the xn10 shafts feel too light for me. just my experience but i think they are definately an up and coming company thats improved light years since they got into ice hockey.

My M-1 was the best stick i've ever used. Taking a shot with it always felt so strong and sturdy, and the zip it had was awesome.

So how many sides does a hexagon have again? Pentagon is 5. Octagon is 8. Seems to me it would have to be an even number...is it 6?
