Super Feet!?

Recommended Posts

--------------

When trimming my superfeet insoles to fit. Do I put my stock footbeds over the superfeet and then trim?

just want to make sure.

Just put the old insoles over the superfeet and trace out the pattern with a marker. Then cut to the line and put them in your skates. Pretty easy. Best $35 you can spend on your feet.

Umm I just noticed this thread. Looked on the first page and saw how many people loved their. I don't know much about the tech terms of the foot(arch's, etc). But if I have pain in the middle of foot while skating, should I consider them?? And what's better, super feet or Grafs?

I've had a pair since Jan. and enjoy them much more than stock insoles and the Grafs. I started off with the Sidas and then swtiched to the Superfeet, mainly becuase i needed an insole that took up more volume in the boot, which I believe the Superfeet did.

go to kintec footlabs (near cap mall), they have lots of choices for insoles and will help you pick a good pair

Just got a pair of superfeet on Friday and used them for the first time on Saturday. What a difference it made. For the first time since getting my one95's felt extremely comfortable on them. Best money I've ever spent

Had my second skate on Friday using superfeet in my old Vapor XX skates.

They make a huge difference. Skates are now comfortable and feel locked onto my feet.

I hated the stock Bauer insoles, i could feel the rivets through them at the toes and always felt my mid/forefoot moving around.

With superfeet the extra thickness in the sole and the arch support has removed some of the volume in the skate giving me a much better overall fit.

I dont need to tighten the skates as much as i used too to try & stop my foot from moving around.

I was always dubious about spending the money on superfeet but for me its been well worth it.

i will never use stock insoles again.

Superfeet are amazing. My recommendation is to find a dealer in your area that carry all of them. Superfeet yellow is not the only choice. I now wear superfeet green in my TOs, and superfeet blue in all my shoes. Wish I did this 2 months ago...navicular stress fracture in right foot from pronating my ankle in NYC walking over a messed up sidewalk in slip on shoes. 4-6 weeks. Getting my cast today. Bummed.

MLSMan with a Leetch-like injury! I hope for a speedy recovery my friend.

Great news!

Saw a sports orthopedist today. NO CAST! He looked at my MRI and said there was nothing there that shows any fracture. What a relief. My general practitioner is WAY too cautious. I can deal with that because she is SMOKIN hot!

Anyway, so minor inflammation in the Peroneal ligament...caused by the pronation. Some extra bone on the anterior tibialis....completely normal after playing hockey for 28 years.

CLEARED TO PLAY!

Finally grabbed a pair as a temp solution until I get custom orthotics. Night and day in terms of comfort vs the stock insole. Can still feel that they don't fit my arch perfectly though, but makes the pain bearable

What kind of skates are you in?

U+ reloads

I had arch problems with grafs and switched to 9k's and it was a world of difference but it wasn't perfect. Put moldable insoles (Soles) in but the best possible solution to minimize the pain is superfeet, haven't went custom though. Just a little info incase you were thinking of doing heat moldable, they seem to take up too much volume.

X:60 boot, Superfeet insole, and Graf tongue

So you did go with the greens! Makes a big difference with volume as well...so will support a much snugger fit in the midfoot. They had way too much height in the midfoot for me. I modified my yellows...but I am thinking of going to blues.

I love the feel on them but they do feel just a bit higher, but I'm used to it.

I have the Superfeet Grey(now called Yellow). I like the feel and how they take up a little volume in the forefoot area but I don't like how they lift the heel some. Can anyone who has used other models make a recommendation of one that doesn't lift the heel up? I know of the Blue, Green, Black and even a new Orange one but hard to tell from their website the exact differences.

I have green in my hiking boots and I love them. Sooooo comfortable. Been thinking of trying them in my skates, but the heel is less constructed and less rigid looking, so I don't know how the support would be. I expect they'll be a little bit lower in the heel, but I haven't actually tried yet.

You can pull the plastic piece off of the green. I had to do this for a super stiff pair of cycling shoes that have a very deep heel cup on purpose. With this setup for this pair of shoes I get the nice deep heel cup with a nice arch support. I have owned the grey, blue, green, black and yellow.

Green works great in running, especially trail running shoes

Grey is for all purposes the yellow. You can believe the hype of all the changes but your splitting hairs at that point.

Wife rocks the blue. I am not a fan but she has a medium arch and is prone to ankle instability. She does find them "hard" after prolonged walks/hikes.

Black was the only one I had trouble noticing a difference or any kind of performance advantage.

If your a member of REI hit up the attic sale. Look in the sock box and you will be amazed at the bounty of new or used once superfeet in all colors. You can try out every color for between $1.99-$4.99 soles and not drop a fortune to find they don't work for you

One last to try and not mentioned here are SOLE footbeds. I am currently rocking these in another cycling shoe with great affect. Will be on the lookout at the attic sale for another pair. I prefer the SOLE footbeds to superfeet.
