NCAA Hockey Outdoor Game

Recommended Posts

Depending on my hockey situation/schedule next season, I'm going to do all I can to be there...even though it currently stands to be scheduled on my 5th anniversary with the girlfriend.

Aw, who the Hell am I kidding? My hockey schedule has kept me from making it to just about everything else that has ever excited me - who's to say this would be any different?

Sounds like the green light is impending on this one - I've heard rumors for months. I can't wait! The $15 price tag looks nice too, especially after what it cost to get to the Winter Classic this year :P

I asked Bucky, he said you smell. I'll see you at the game, I'll be the one screaming sieve at your goalie.

I would ask our mascot, but fortunately we don't have one - it'd be pretty lame to have a huge weasel walking around at a hockey game. Oh, wait...

I would love to see a UW-Minnesota game at the new TCF Bank Stadium

This is in the works. It would be an all week event with high school games during the week and mens/womens double header on the weekend.

Nice..I'd definitely attend that game. How would one keep the ice in tip top shape for an entire week though?

they could borrow/rent the outdoor cooling system the NHL bought.

I assume you're referring to the Minnesota Ground Squirrels?

In a comparison between Goldy and several kinds of rodent, the gopher was judged to look least like Goldy -- the results judged that his appearance was closest to a chipmunk or squirrel. Another animal Goldy is claimed to look like is the beaver, due to the buck teeth and tail. These inaccuracies are because when the gopher was declared the mascot of the University, the artist hired to create the mascot did not know what a gopher looked like. As a replacement, he drew some furry animals he saw at a rest stop. The gopher drawn and used as the original mascot was based on a picture of a thirteen-lined ground squirrel.

How sad is that....

referring to the wolverines, but it's kind of sad how many rodents/weasels are in the Big ten.

Among other things, a primary difference being that the wolverine is remarkably powerful for its size and has been known to take down prey as large as moose - whereas gophers and badgers...
