Gaborik curve, my goodness.

Recommended Posts

Call this a stupid thread... but what in the hell does this curve accomplish? lol!!! I saw it today at my local hockey shop. They have ONE 85 flex Easton synergy gaborik curve.

I've never seen such a nasty, deep curve ever... Besides the ovechkin. Mind you, this is coming from someone that uses the malkin/zetterberg curve... I'm about to try the iginla- but before I do this.. I put the gaborik stick on hold for a day.

Is there currently any users of the gaborik curve out there that can share opinions as to what they saw different from their usual curve you guys are used to using? I mean.. what's this do to your shots?

Sucha sick curve on the toe..... discuss w/me so I can see if this is worth getting :)

I love the Gaborik curve, I was mad that Easton discontinued it. The Sher-Wood Coffey is the same curve and has a pretty loyal following.

The Coffey was my first love...It still is, but I need to wean myself from it though.

I may have to buy up all the P14s in existence.

Those make wrist shots and going top shelf ridiculously easy, that's what they do. Those are discontinued and hard to find, snatch 'em up and if you don't like them I would think that the deep toe addicts here would love to buy them off of you.

I loved my Stealh Gabby curve.

I've found the Warrior Kovalchuk to be similar and when Easton dumped the Gabby I switched.

Huge hooks probably aren't as popular as they were before. The kids today weren't using wood Coffeys growing up, they used composites with retail patterns, so they didn't go for the Gaboriks.

Oh yeah....i have one of the GREEN Easton ST Gaborik curves...... i love it. Got it off a buddy....for my wrister. I normally use the Getzlaf / Lidstrom....so it's a big change/variety to have. It is a hook, but works great for me on Defense and my drag.

I'm on my last 2 Gaborik hooks. 1 85 flext ST and 1 100 flex ST. Just to prove how much I love the hook I have a Kovalchuk Warrior, Coffey Sherwood, Smyth Warrior and Bergeron RBK in my garage collecting dust as I searched around for a replacement since Easton stopped making it. There are times when I have good speed coming into the zone that after I shoot I smile it comes off so perfectly. Sometimes I feel like I'm cheating. I hope Gaborik signs with the Rangers or some big market team so Easton will bring it back.
