Mika Pyarela *spelling* was using a Brooklynite player stick this preseason, branded and all.

Brooklynite doesn't have player sticks in the NHL this year? Thought I remember the owner bragging about a couple players on PHEW, maybe not. What about Warrior goal pads?

And does that mean no one is allowed to wear a Mission branded Intake or NME? I thought I saw a few of those but maybe I'm wrong there too.

Hecht (Buf) had a Mission on tonight too. Obviously just some old lids they had lying around, cuz I saw an NBH 4500 as well. Just not sure how the Fee issue works out, if Bauer ponied up the money or there's something else at work.

Nash's gloves are in fact R8s with Winnwell on the cuff roll; not shocked to see that knowing who is involved.

I was at the Jackets preseason game Monday night and noticed that. When you say you're not shocked knowing who is involved, what do you mean? I apologize if this is old news, but I'm new to the board. I'm just curious because I've been wanting to buy a pair of R8's but can't find the size I need in the colors I want. I don't really care if they're branded Winnwell, I'd still get 'em. Can you give me more info SubliTWILL (or anyone)? Thanks!

dont think thats right, they look more like 900's they definately look like a traditional skate rather than a composite skate

True. The 1500 and 900 do have the same graphics other than the composite toe, although my thoughts are it is a traditional dressed up to a 1500.

Where's the footage from it? I'm watching the replay of it right now, but they haven't shown anything. I wanted to see it when Pominville was on a breakaway, and when Miller was doing the penalty shot.

The commentators for the game said it was the NHL testing out new camera angles. IF its available it will be on the nhl's site. But I doubt it is yet.

Can anyone from Atlanta that may have actually watched their last game against Nashville chime in on this question...

What skates did Maxim Afinogenov have on? I saw 1 pic from the game and the skates didnt look like anything i recognized (of course I cant find the pic now to post) but the skates were all dark gray and they had an ls2 on them. They definately didnt look like his standard old school vapor 10s.

Side note I hope he makes the team, Hes always been one of my favs (despite the obvious lack of producing to his potential, defensive liability, and being very injury prone). I just love watching him skate with the puck, the speed and skating style are so unique.
