Blade curves?

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to confirm that Naslund/Sakic/Draper are basically the same curve, the only difference is lie (6/5.5/5 respectively)?

They all seem to look very similiar based on pictures & descriptions (mid curve, 1/2" deep, open, round toe, mid blade length), but I only had experience with P92/Naslund so far & so can't say for sure...

the reason I ask is because lie 6 seems to be to hi for me (I switched from P91 which was 5.5 lie) so it's time to experiment (I use 2 piece anyways)

Thanks!

I went from Sakic to p92 and had no issues adjusting.

thanks for the answer - good to know that the curves are the same, but

Holding the blades together you can't even tell a difference in the lie.

this sucks - I NEED them to have a different lie

maybe it's not very noticable, but .5 difference in lie means 1 degree angle difference - not much, but it should be there?!

The Warrior lies are listed differently... I have a P92 and Draper 5, they are identical in lie. So the 4 and 6 should be different, but I haven't compared them before.

Trust me the p92 & Sakic are the same lie (as is the draper 5lie).

Get the Warrior HD Dolomite in a Draper 4 lie.

Great blade and a lower lie (is equivalent to a easton 5-5.25 lie)

instead of creating a new thread, i figured i'd just post here. is there an equivalent blade pattern for ccm? i'm really liking the u+ int. stick, but want to try this type of curve out in it (grown to like it in my dolo and one95 2-pieces).

The curves of the p92 and Sakic are NOT the same. The p92 has more toe curve.

Also I felt a slight difference between the draper and the Sakic. Draper felt 5.25ish (Warrior lie 5)

I agree, I've noticed that the naslund has the most curve, and the draper has the least, even though its essentially the same curve.

I'm a bit confused now - seems like everybody is confirming that curves are different, but lies are the same?!

if true then it SUCKS!

it's completely oposite to what the descriptions say - I should go & compare them side by side at the store or something...

how can I get P92 in lie 5 then?!

They are all virtually identical in terms of lie and curve. There are slight variations from one manufacturer to the next but not so much that you will have trouble moving from one blade to the next. If you are looking for a lower lie of the same blade, try and find a Draper in a 4 lie (it's actually a 5).

Try a REEBOK Crosby if you are looking for a lower lie. Same curve in a 5 lie = to Easton 5, Warrior 4. I've used both and the Crosby is slightly more clsoed than the Sakic, Naslund, but not enough to make a difference.

ummm i wouldn't say its the same curve...its very similar but more of a heel curve, and people like me can't use heel curves for s!%#@

patient for what though? Is there something specific coming down the pipe (from Bauer?) that you're aware off? If so would you care to share?

otherwise I'll try to locate Draper in lie 4 just to give it a go - based on the description is appears to be a JR blade though?

I have comparied all three curves very closey and all are very similar. With that said p92 does have a little more toe curve than others. right now im playing with se16 sakic and 0ne95 p92 and theres really not much difference. Used to have draper as well. Eatson lie 5.5 is same as bauer lie 6 and warrior lie 5. Like someone said try ordering Draper lie 4.
