MR MIZUN0

flex...cut

Recommended Posts

I know that when you cut a stick, it gets stiffer. If I buy a junior flex, and cut it to get it to play like a 60 flex, and then add a plug to bring it back to the length I want will it still be a 60 flex, or will it be softer?

MR MINZUNO if you don't mind me asking how much do you or the player this stick is designated for weigh? I weigh 121 pounds and find it easy to use a 65 cut down to a 72.

The wood stick flexes at a different pressure than the shaft, so it will create a point where the shaft bends before the plug does.

I weigh 120 too and I am 5 feet 3 inches tall. I like my sticks to play at 53 inches. I have a ccm vector that is rated at 70 flex (in easton flex) but it feels alot stiffer. My dad has a tps whip flex and that feels softer, but still a little stiff for me. I am looking at either the s17 or xxxx, should I go junior or int.

You can get the XXXX in a variety of intermediate flexes (60, 67, 75). I would go for that one personally, especially if you can get them on clearance.

which in other words means an inconsistent flex.
