SE16 shaft

Recommended Posts

I have just a few questions on this shaft:

Is it durable?

Is the 85 flex shaft 55" as well?

With a blade in it, how long will it be compared to a SR OPS?

What would you guys suggest for a durable blade that will create a good balance with the SE16 shaft?

Thanks

It chips but there not bad, middle of the road in terms of toughness. I would suggest trying a vapor xxxx, ive heard great things about them and they should be going on sale soon with the new vapor coming out. Dolomite blades are a bit heavier but also a good choice.

I bought an SE16 shaft a few months back and absolutely love it, can't speak highly enough of it's performance.

As far as durability is concerned, *knock on wood*, it all seems fine at the moment, and I take a hell of a lot of slapshots. The graphics are starting to chip off, but no big deal. If the stick were to break I'd buy another one straight away, no doubt.

As for length, with a Mission Pro Stock blade it was slightly shorter than my S11, but only slightly.

My experience was that is was pretty durable and light enough weight but played more like a standard shaft than tapered.

Same, the limited use I've had and heard of the se16 shaft it seems to kick a little higher than most tapered shafts do for me, but it's not a large enough negative to change my opinion from positive.

I love my SE16 shaft, and the graphics have held up fairly well. Although i do play in a pretty low league. And yes the advertised flex is a few inches down the shaft like all new Eastons.

Great shaft, just like the older versions always were. Just a tiny bit heavier than the OPS version, but feels great overall.

5 grams more then the corresponding Synergy OPS according to listed weights, to be exact.

I love my Synergy 2 piece setups. I've compared them side by side with a brand new SE16, and the only difference I could feel was from the blade (my 2 pc had a Synergy II blade in).

The shafts have certainly been durable, I've never had one break. Can't speak for the graphics since mine are older generation.

The graphics on these things are terrible. You put some tape on the shaft and the decals lift right off. But aside from that, I've had one for a few months now and while it's lost a bit of "kick", I can still take very nice wrist shots with it. Slap shots, not so much.
