hamstercaster 2 Report post Posted September 29, 2009 Did a search couldn't find much but then again someone will probably pop up with a link to the information I'm looking for..Anyway, my LHS has some Pro Stock Reebok 10K for sale at 120$ Cnd and I'm very tempted. It would actually be my first real top of the line OPS. A Reebok 6K was my previous stick. So as anyone tried them out and if so, what was your impression? Durability etc.I think that at that price I should be right over it but I'm hoping someone has tried them out already.thanks
calishark28 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2009 I've had a 10k now for about 2 months it's an A3T, really solid stick, but keep in mind that when it comes to pro stock sticks it can be a crap shoot because because of quality, while my 10k has lasted me this long, my one95 last 6 shots
Dakotax 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2009 Not to highjack, where abouts in Canada is this shop. I'm trying to get my hands on some prostock sticks atm.
dumbpolak9 1 Report post Posted September 30, 2009 Same here as for the 10k, I have a A2T. The stick is amazing I used it for about 4 open hockey sessions and the slappers that I launch with it are completely mind bottling. Yes, I did say mind bottling. My stick is labeled 100 Flex but it surely feels about 112. very stiff for me. But absolutely love it. I have another one that is a little to big and I'm waiting for the season to start. That one is a true OPS. FYI: check the bottom of the shaft if it has A2T like mine or A3T like cali's that means that the blade is fused.

I love the perf of mine, but it varies from stick to stick.

hamstercaster 2 Report post Posted September 30, 2009 Thanks for the A2T and A3T info.As for location of the store, it's in Gatineau at a Source for Sports. $119.99 is the price tag. I really can't tell you what cuves there were though. If I remember correctly there were three different model. A Matthieu Darche, a O'reilley and I forget what the other one was. I believe they all had grip, a strange grip at that too, at least something new to me, not sticky, just rough it seemed. They also had some Eastons I believe they were S17's but not sure. They were also pro stock and were going for 200$ Cnd.

The slappers are excellnet, as well as wristlers. The only problem I'm seing with the two of them I am using is the blades get delaminated slightly from other players' skates or stick hits. Something I need to fix, maybe crazy glue or something. Overall, I like these sticks better than the pro stock Warrier Dolomite Spyne. The latter don't seem to have this delamination problem though. Brian Harte 1 Report post Posted January 14, 2010 Couple month bump here.I tried to search, but didn't find anything.Anybody know what the A2C calls out?
dumbpolak9 1 Report post Posted January 14, 2010 the A... Stamps are what the blades are made up of, dont bother calling RBK because they will kill about an hour of your time before they tell you this information is classified. But, I just broke both of my 10k's, I absolutely loved them, one was a 2 piece and the shaft just cracked where the blade was and the blade flew out, and the other one broke between the hands =(, I wish I had more of them,
Brian Harte 1 Report post Posted January 14, 2010 Yeah I don't plan on calling them.I've seen a lot of A2T and A3T, but no A2C yet, so I figured I'd ask here.
habookus 1 Report post Posted January 14, 2010 Last time I went to Fraser's source for sports in Pointe-Claire, they had a whole bunch of pro-stock 10K's for 99$ no tax. They easily had over 50 of them, but all were lefties. They had some real nice ones too, notably Duchene pro-stock, Leino, Antropov, Havlat, Filppula..plus some other beauty toe-curves who's names I can't remember. He informed that the A3T is a retail shaft and blade and ztac on the blade.I thought you asked about an A2T... and that was a "most likely" I don't think the blade plays a part in the code, it's just the most common blade. Wallzy41 9 Report post Posted January 15, 2010 The T and C in the A3T and A2C labels kinda scream, "Shaft Shape" to me, n'est pas?
K9 Unit 1 Report post Posted January 15, 2010 The T and C in the A3T and A2C labels kinda scream, "Shaft Shape" to me, n'est pas?only way to find out, brian is your shaft contour shaped, a la ccm u+ cl?
Brian Harte 1 Report post Posted January 15, 2010 Well, I'm not too familiar with Reebok / CCM sticks at all.By contoured do you mean rounded endges of the shaft? (as opposed to a more squared off shaft) This one feels very rounded off.I think the U+ sticks are like that, right? I remember fiddling around with one a while ago at the pro shop.(the stick has a broken blade, so I'll be trying to make it into a 2 piece stick now. Never tried this before)thanks for the help, guys.
K9 Unit 1 Report post Posted January 15, 2010 ye exactly as the u+ feels (i never actually got how people use the C shaped shafts, it'll just slip out of my glove and I have small hands)guess we figured that part out, good guess bostonc~

Wallzy41 9 Report post Posted January 15, 2010 First Character(Usually A)- ? Any Guesses?Second Character(1,2,3,4)- How the blade is connected/What the blade is made of?Third Character(Usually T or C)-Contour of Shaft(Square/Rounded edges)
Brian Harte 1 Report post Posted January 15, 2010 For what it's worth, mine seems to be a true OPS, so maybe that 2 and 3 thing is correct. I cut it really far down by the blade and it's hollow... now to do some measuring and stuff to see where I need to cut it for a blade to go in.
