Favorite wood sticks

Recommended Posts

I'm liking the Koho Inter. Sticks. I have a Torpedo Jagr Curve, and it's amazing. Until one of the kids I skate with got a Vapor Apollo, he also skated with one. They're like 10 bucks if you can find one. However, the Sr. RbK's aren't bad either.

not an all time favorite as its been around pretty recently, one55 light weight and comes in some good curves

Started ice hockey last season with a One55 woodie, and I agree about the lightweight, but I cut it too short so icouldn't maximize on its potential

I'll be the dinosaur and profess my love for the Koho ProFibres and Revolutions, both white and the later black models. Since those disappeared the only one I've bought and used (and still have) are Nike Zero Gs. For the rare PKs I went out on I loved those things.

Edit: Almost forgot about the Titan ASDs. I miss the Lemieux and Daigle patterns.

I've bought a couple One55's last year. Gonna buy a couple more for outdoor winter hockey. I ran into some Pro Easton wood blades so I'm using those for now. Wish I could find some wood One75's in intermediate flex.

I used a Koho ultimate with a Jagr curve and I loved it. Now I have a pair of some Koho wood stick, not sure the model or the curce, its just a blue stick that says Koho in white on it. Has a mid open curve.

Got a few one75's and they are pretty solid. Used one off and on for the past year for drop in and stick and puck sessions. Sherwood 5030's are always a popular choice. My first though was a Koho torpedo in the Jagr also.

One40 would have been great except the blade torqued open. Montreal 4400 was my favorite...haven't seen one in forever.

I still have half a dozen of those Koho sticks in the closet. Although, I'm missing the white revolution. Would love to find one.

My favorite wood stick of all-time -- actually have three.

Victoriaville 4050

Koho 2211 (natural shaft with a few red stripes)

Montreal 88 HMP

Sherwood 5030

+1 for the Leclair pattern; really the only wood stick I've liked except for a few (almost) indestructable Victoriaville's I had as a kid

would use them for street hockey until the blade was nothing more than a toothpick :D

Favorite new/current wood stick = Christian Pro Flex 100 (cbhockey.com), which are somewhat similar to the Christian Pro 2000s. The blades on the Pro Flex 100s are extremely durable. Well constructed shafts that are slightly boxy - sometimes I like to sandpaper/round the shaft edges a bit for feel and to reduce weight. Nice/hard shots. Like the stock/standard blade patterns on these wood sticks.

Favorite wood sticks several years ago (hard to find now) = just about any Montreal wood stick. Nice taper, durable shafts, great blades. Excellent performance. Never too fond of the graphics and colors though.

Favorite wood stick for feel = Sher-Wood PMP 7000 and SOP 7000. Love the feel of the 7000 Featherglas shafts. I've had mixed luck with the durability of Sher-Wood blades though.
