Forsberg's new stick

Recommended Posts

The last few games Forsberg has been experimenting with a new stick, switching back and forth between a Stealth and this very chromey Synergy (or whatever it is), has anyone got any info on chrome colored Easton sticks? New color pattern for the Synergy, or a brand new stick model? All pics I've seen of him so far have been with the Stealth but if I find any pics of him using the other stick (which he's been doing only the last couple games), I'll post them here.

It's the new Synergy and was used by some players in the world cup. It's supposed to be lighter than the current model.

There are a few decent pictures of them in the new "USA Hockey" magazine (one on the cover). As we were told during the WCOH, Rolo's chrome Synergy was in fact a chrome Synthesis (picture on page 16)

Dunno if its the same stick, however i was playing pick up like about 2 weeks ago, and this kid and his dad had a synergy that looked kinda weird. So i asked him about it, and he said that it was a prototype and that they had a buddy from Easton that let them test it. I have a stealth, and i picked up that stick and it was so much lighter. I looked at the weight and it said 305 grams. It was called the Synergy SL The graphics were kinda like the regular synergy, but the lettering was like 2 times bigger.

Hmm SL, wasnt that brought up a long time ago when we first heard about the stealth. We thought the stick was going to be called super light or something.

Um there is no Stealth Grip...

That is a Sweden Stealth.

That is a grip, after a game I talked to Forsberg. And i felt on his stick, its defenetly a grip.

Thats true, Forsberg could get a pink synergy if he wanted it ;)

no, he couldnt. The point JR is trying to make is that just because a pro has a grip on his stick, doesnt mean that the model is a grip. There is NO GRIP STEALTH AT THE RETAIL LEVEL,....yet.

I haven't been on here in a while but this synergy sl seems interesting. I was watching the London Knights game last night on tv and saw a few synergies that had chrome oval easton logos, instead of the usual yellow. It looked as if it had a blue tint at the time but they had a picture in the paper showing he painted the bottom.

...Well, I was mocked back when I said I saw a Duck (I can't remember which one) sitting on the bench with a black Easton with silver semi-circles (a-la Stealth) during the '03 Finals. It's a risk you assume by reporting what you see ;)

It's hard to tell from that angle, but that Chrome Synergy looks like it's a OPS, as opposed to the ones we saw during the WCOH, which were shaft/blade combos. Anybody have better eyes than I?
