uclahockey707 1 Report post Posted January 6, 2010 ^^^The guy just changed his ad to say se6 (he's got 4 pairs available for sale), so its an se6 or eq5???
CANADIANHKY9ER 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2010 I just noticed that to, he could have just added that they were se6 instead of eq5's rather then end the auction and relist.....
uclahockey707 1 Report post Posted January 6, 2010 Yeah I know right???But they're not se6's cause the 6's have 3 piece fingers and these look to have two piece fingers. The thumb is also a bit different from the se6's too. Where TBL when u need him??? :)
K9 Unit 1 Report post Posted January 6, 2010 the se6 also has the triple segmented index so i have no idea what model that is maybe eprosbut the one i saw in my lhs was an se6 and was very comfy (and mesh gussets!!!!)
uclahockey707 1 Report post Posted January 6, 2010 Haha, yeah, this guy on eBay is an electronics dealer so it's not like he knows the differences but they look sweet. I wonder if Easton did a limited release or something up in Canada after everyone loved these gloves when they saw the canadiens wearing 'em.

chrisk 1 Report post Posted January 7, 2010 Index finger a bit over padded, JMHO.I thought we would have seen a pic of the Bauer Retro's by now-which would put the eastons to shame.

Pro Hockey Life 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2010 Those canadiens gloves are just the regular SE Pro glove thats all over the NHL.Exactly, EQ5's look different, even the regular Habs pro version worn by Cammy #13.
Fro_ride 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2010 Easton Canada has an expected "in stock" date between End of Feb - End of March on the EQ5 glove. Vintage EQ5 retail glove was a limited edition holiday special.
goaliemanshark 6 Report post Posted January 9, 2010 Easton Canada has an expected "in stock" date between End of Feb - End of March on the EQ5 glove. Vintage EQ5 retail glove was a limited edition holiday special. So are you saying those were actually EQ5 gloves? Not repainted SE6's or SE16's?Will the EQ5 have a similar fit to that of the SE16? i love my SE16's so much, i just bought another pair on clearance!
Fro_ride 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2010 The ones in my region are E-Pro gloves. Tags all say EQ5, but the thumb is definitely different than the retail EQ5.
goaliemanshark 6 Report post Posted January 9, 2010 Meaning you have felt EQ5 gloves? Any impressions? Or are you judging them based off of pictured?
Fro_ride 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2010 No haven't seen them in person but if you compare the thumb it looks nothing alike. Tried to order some today but its going to be another month before they are in stock.
uclahockey707 1 Report post Posted January 12, 2010 Got the gloves in, they were ridiculously stiff out of the box, but are feeling better after breaking them in a bit.Plastic inserts pretty much everywhere on these gloves.Two-piece fingersPalm is a kinda micro-nash (really smooth feeling and not restrictive), gussets are mesh with an underlayer of a black nylon. When compared to the SE6:Cuff is completely different, no long cuff piece on the thumb side like the se6 and the breaking up of the segments is completely different. No three piece fingers like the se6Thumb is different...basically there not the se6 that they were labeled as on ebay, but this is as much as I can figure and most of us figured they weren't se6's on here anyways.Any help in figuring out what these guys are is always appreciated. :)(Probably like TBL guessed, they are some easton pro stock gloves of some sort)Images located here: http://hockey.inlinewarehouse.com/showthre...99485#post99485*I opened photobucket account so i could post images directly on here but it said the address of the images was dynamic and wouldnt work. Need to figure that out
number21 3 Report post Posted January 12, 2010 aren't these the EQ5?http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT
uclahockey707 1 Report post Posted January 12, 2010 Those say EQ on them so I would guess yeah, they look darn similar minus some of the segmenting of the padding and the pieces of material in between the four rolls are longer than the one's I ordered. But like we were dealing with before, its hard to say with a really limited image.SIDE QUESTION: If I post a photo bucket "http:" for an image, can you all access it or does it block you guys? Sorry, I was poking around in the FAQ section trying to learn how to post images properly.
