There are so many things wrong with this I don't know where to begin.

I never really liked Sheckler, but I guess hes a good skateboarder hah, but the rock takes some weird roles. I feel like hes trying to just put his foot in the door and then hopefully he will get a bigger role.

It's a Disney flick, his acting ability is irrelevant. His job is to look like he could be an athlete, because that's what the role calls for, and be eye candy for the moms that have to take the little ones to the see the god awful thing. Just like the one where he played a quarterback that I had to sit through on my flight back from Vegas a couple years ago.

Do you smell what The Rock is cookin'? He actually was a football player at the U of Miami. His pro CFL career fizzled quick though. I'd have to think he made a fortune wrestling though.

Yea he is doing all the disney flicks but I agree with you there. That one mountain movie he did was brutal though.

We need a good hockey movie to restore the reputation of the sport. Miracle was great, but the next two big ones that come out are the Love Guru and this.

This movie makes me really sad to be involved in hockey. If someone asks me if we have any of these jerseys in stock i'll probably lose it. I bet the skates they got are like V04s and don't have a tuuk on them... just a block of green so they can cgi in the holder/steel.

care to enlighten law? I haven't seen a decent hockey movie in a long time. Its annoying.

Guys, take it for what it is, a kids' movie that happens to center around a hockey player. It is doing the game of hockey no more of a disservice that the Mighty Ducks did.

He got his foot in the door, with movies like "The Rundown" and "Walking Tall," two pretty good action movies. He also had "Gridiron Gang" which I thought he was great in. I think he's just trying to broaden his range, and replicate what Vin Diesel did in "The Pacifier." Unfortunately he doesn't realize the Pacifier was really dumb, and so was the last kiddie comedy with a touch of sports that the Rock did.

He signed a contract w/Disney. Game Plan, Witch Mountain, now this. He'[s looking for secure work and will do what needs to be done for the $. The action hero market is a bit on the downturn, so it's either comic book movies or Disney.
